Concerning both chemical and surgical castration, what is the risk of Osteoporosis (heavy loss of bone calcium leading to fractures that cripple)? Do hormones, male or female, need to be taken to resolve this complication?

You are asking a critical question, and one which has been addressed on the Archive. A next step, requiring a bit more time (but which also leads to some other valuable health considerations) would be to check the entire set of threads on this Health Forum. Hi, I am glad to report that after a year of Fosamax and 1500 mg of calcium a day my last bone scan was back in the green. My doctor is keeping me on the Fosamax for a while.
