After much consultation and thought, I have decided to release this story. It contains a warning header, written by me, and is not for those looking for a quick thrill of the classic wank-n-run story.

This isn't one of those.

This is a cold splash of reality, right in the face.

I'd recommend reading it, if you're one of the lurkers who is all worked up by the idea of castration, but isn't sure about the after effects.

I want to thank the Author for sharing these feelings, and for contacting me. We feel that this is something that needs to be shared.

That's one nasty story. It may be fiction, but only in the sense that it combines elements from all of our lives in it. It is definitely a warning to those who fantasize about castration.

A Warning to Others is a powerful, and immensely important story for the Archive. While Paolo

’s warning that it’

s not for the faint of heart is certainly true, it probably should be required reading for ANYONE on the Archive who is seriously considering castration!

While I have no idea who actually wrote it, I have had contact with enough people whose story it could easily be to recognize its truth. Read it. Think about it. Be disturbed by it. The story is not only well written, it’s important!

A second story on the topic, Obsession (http://www.eunuch.org/Alpha/O/ea_205441obsessio.htm) by Slammr, is also a “must read” for Archive members. Slammr is one of our best storytellers, and Obsession is one of his most powerful stories to date.

I want to thank both of these authors for their powerful contributions. I know that I will be recommending both stories to Archive members for a long time to come.

That "Obsession" is also quite a story. Much of it rang true for me since I was a Kimmel patient. But despite the hot flashes, I don't have the depression. For me, getting rid of my balls was liberating. I am finally freed from my sexual obsessions! Hurrah!

But not all the EA members fall into my category. Castration will rid you of your fantasies. Be careful what you wish for.

Of the 10,560 stories that were in the Fiction Archive at the time that the troll attack induced us to move to a new format and a new server with better protections, about 2,200 have not yet been reformatted to the new system. The old system was incompatible with anything newer and every story needs to be gone over word-by-word and line-by-line to reformat it. Strange characters pop up in the middle of old stories, especially where there are accented characters (which turn into a string of nonsense letters). Line spacing also does very funny things that need to be corrected. Those who volunteered for the task have become exhausted for now and the stories left to reformat are those most difficult to work with, including most of those in non-English languages where accent marks are common and the reader needs to be fluent in the language to be able to correct the formatting errors.

For those stories that have been reformatted, the INDEX on the front page of the Fiction Archive does work if you know either the title or author of the story you are seeking. Like any proper library catalog, "A" at the beginning of a title is skipped and the story is filed under the next word, although at the beginning of the listings. Story titles that begin with "The" are filed under the next word, but at the end of the listings for that letter. "A Warning to Others" is filed under "W" and "Obsession" is filed in its proper alphabetical place under "O."

Including the new stories that have been submitted, there are, as of today, 8,681 stories in the Fiction Archive for you to read. Of them, 8,058 are in English and 623 are in other languages, mostly in German (450 stories), with French (58) and Spanish (52) in second and third place.
