Hi good people,
I was wondering roughly how long does it take to start feeling the effects of castration? Does Testosterone linger in the body eg fat cells and muscle tissue for a while imediately following castration?
Its been just 4 days now for me and about the only thing I've really noticed so far is a sort of fuzziness in my thinking. No hot flashes or other symptoms yet.
I have just come aboard and am looking forward to meeting you all =)

Re: When to expect castration effects?
Well, first of all, welcome to the zoo and congratulations on your four day old castration. The effects that each person feels is different. Some take longer than others for the hormones to wash out of the body. A few years ago, when my own testicles decided that enough was enough, it took me about 4 weeks to notice the effects and about 4 more for the HRT to do anything. Another 4 after I quit the nasty stuff for the effects of IT to go away!
I think you'll find that the answers you'll get will vary greatly.

Re: When to expect castration effects?
Well, wait a minute and your mood will change... Congratulations on becoming the newest Eunuch here on the Archive. I see you recently joined what Paolo fondly calls the Zoo.
What caused you to become testicle-less? I myself, lost both nuts to tumors which caused concern, of cancer. My doctors were quite concerned and provided enough evidence to under go the final cut. My first nut was removed in 1993 and the second one came out in 1998. I personally forced the issue on number two and sought out the services of Dr. Spector and his lacking surgical skill (my fault).
One thing that stopped, was the self abuse to my remaining testicle once the last one came out. Over the years I have become quite knowledgeable of my physical and mental health. This is something you may desire of yourself.
Eunuchs are not special or acute in our society. Many men undergo orchiedectomy for various cancer reasons but few are cut by self choice. In that respect, they are few and far between.
It took me somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 weeks to feel the affects of testosterone deprivation but sure enough, it hit me in the face one morning. Smack, Pow, Clunk, Thud!... I began experiencing Hot Flashes. Not knowing what that was all about, I ran, literally ran to the doctor's office to find out what was going on with my body. There was no Eunuch Archive for me at that time. Later, I found the Archive and have not departed the company of the good folk here.
Back in 1993, when my testosterone level dropped my life changed. Just as your life will change. There are many posts here on the Archive describing those changes and more than enough detail to get you started. Please don't be mislead by the so called "Eunuch Calm"...as that is something Dr. Spector planted in some guys and they took to it like Pigs in Mudd. You may experience a calmness of mind or a peace of mind, lack of aggressiveness, but that doesn't translate into the so called "Eunuch Calm". Its what you want to call it, not what someone else wants to call it.
Some of the changes you will notice are:
A smaller penis
Body hair reduction
Fat build up (like around your arse, midsection, hips)
A softening of the skin
Definately a lack of erections
Your squirt will become runny and almost clear (no clumpy mess)
A change in personality (you won't desire those things you liked in the past and couldn't do without before the cut)
Loss of muscle tone
Loss of strength, endurance, and body mass
Weight gain (some or a lot, depends on you)
Nothing between your legs (hahahaha...)
If you are circumcised, there is a good chance of foreskin reformation as your helmet head retreats
If you are not circumcised, there is the real possibility of a longer foreskin... see above
If your sac skin remains, you have a good chance of feeling the uncomfortableness of saggy skin during warmer months
You may find yourself here more often answering questions of wannabes and newbes...
Best of luck and hope you find your new body fun, exciting and bearable.

Re: When to expect castration effects?
Thanks Guys,
For the warm welcome=)
Your information will be most helpfull.
I am one of those few that have chosen to have it done. I am 47 years old and If I could have done it at age 5 I would of lol. As for this place being a zoo, I don't think of it that way although the comparison is funny. We are all on different life paths. I know I'm going to like it here and will share more about myself in the comming weeks.
