How long until...?

Post by Skopztikov (imported) »

This is probably an old thread, but since I'm a new eunuch and new to this forum, I'm not completely savvy on finding old information. So, I'm startng anew.

After a decade and a half of wanting to cross the threshold of eunuchdom, I finally managed to make an appt w/ Dr Kimmel and on 17 Oct lost my balls. Zip. zero. NADA there. But, much to my chagrin, I still find myself sexually functional. I even get spontaneous night-time erections during sleep. It's just over 7 weeks, and even my urologist was incredulous when I told him this!

The myth seems to be that once those nuts are gone, sexual ability and desire disappears. That's certainly what I was looking for, but I haven't yet found it. Am I just too impatient? Is it a matter of time? Or am I going to keep sniffing around for sex for the rest of my ball-less life? Granted the desire is about 75% less than it used to be, but it's still there!

Now there's a new one.

Actually, Your Mileage May Vary.

For me, homonal changes take about 4 weeks to manifest themselves. I hate to admit it, but I think I've got another of those "short circuits" coming on again, too.

For others, it is sooner; for some, it's longer. I'd say you don't have much to worry about, really. Now, if after, say 12 weeks, and nothing changes, you've certainly got some testosterone coming from SOMEWHERE keeping the old motor running!

Give it a little more time, and by the way, congratulations on achieving your goal.🚬

You did not state your age. As a general rule, the younger you are when castrated, the more sexual ability you can retain. Castration will reduce the sex drive, but in many cases eunuchs can have sexual relationships for many years.

In my case, castrated at age 57, I can still masturbate every few days if I want to, or ignore sex if I want to.

In your case, the pineal gland is sending out signals for the body to increase testosterone production, and the adrenal glands are responding. It may take a few months for the situation to stabelize, and it may be that you are one of those rare eunuchs who retain much of their sexual drive.

PS: I live in Torrance.

First congradulations and welcome to the brotherhood of eunuchs.

I was chemically castrated for a year before castration 15 months ago. I remained horny/active with a testosterone level of 35, about 6 weeks after castration I had one of the best well I have not had anything sence. Im never horny, think of sex, masterbate etc. Andrew how do you still get off every 2 or 3 days, its been over a year for me.

You will know your testosterone is droping when you start having hot flashes and night sweats. Just give it al little time, you will see the difference soon.

I am not sure what happened. It may have to do with greatly reduced stress levels. On 16 December I started working the swing shift instead of the day shift at the Post Office where I work. I got away from the Supervisor From Hell. Less stress. The cats also reduce stress. For some reason, starting Sunday 17 December, I find myself able to masturbate every 3 or 4 days. Go figure.

Of course, after 2-1/2 years as a eunuch, I do not ejaculate at all. And the orgasms asre by no means those earth-shaking, trumpet blaring, mind blowing ORGASMS that you read in the EA fiction files. <G> No, just 10-15 minutes of gentle rubbing whilst having a bath brings about a mild, pleasent orgasm. Why now? Who knows? Eunuch biology and psychology are still mostly unknown territory.

I don't NEED to masturbate, and in fact seem to be doing it more as curious exercise to see how my body is doing.

Greg,

Congratulations on your recent visit to Dr. Kimmel. You will soon find your body changing in many ways. Sure, it takes time to deplete Testosterone levels in your blood stream but it will happen. One day you will wake up and it will hit you in the face, Smack, Pow, Clunk, Thud.

Hot flashes are a sure way to know your body is changing in the way you desire. Hormonal levels drop, your body reacts, you start to over heat, sweat beads roll down your forehead. This is normal and a clear signal you have reached the second stage of your goal.

Now that you have complete Phase I of your transformation, please take time to read up on what is needed for care of your Eunuch body. Take vitamins, drink plenty of fluids (water is preferred), Calcium suppliments are good, plenty of iron (liver and green vegetables are good for this) and watch out for mental health changes. You want to keep an eye on signs of depression. This sometimes affects newly castrated men. Take necessary caution if you notice signs of depression and see your physician as soon as possible. The sooner to confront adverse conditions, the sooner you acclimate to your new life.

These are just a few of the helpful hints available here on the Eunuch Archive Message Board. There have been plenty of posts on this subject here. I am sorry we don't have an FAQ on this subject for new members.

Once again, congratulations on becoming the new you.

Every Eunuch will have different effects from his castration. Some of this may depend on whether he is an β€œelective” Eunuch or not. YMWV = Your Mileage Will vary. Some side effects of castration are:

Infertility, in all cases.

Many (but not all) elective eunuchs develop β€œThe Eunuch Calm”, with reduced or eliminated thoughts of sex, aggression, and ambition. In the words of Dr. Spector, β€œeither case of TS or eunuch, a deep, calm serenity develops which, from then on, makes life far more worthwhile.” This has happened to me, but again, YMWV. This is less likely to happen to non-elective eunuchs.

Reduced libido, erections, and nocturnal emissions, sometimes to the point of total asexuality.

Weight gain, including subcutaneous body fat. This thin layer of fat causes the skin to become softer and smoother.

Loss or thinning of body hair, but male pattern baldness slows down or stops. Reduced body odor.

Loss of lean muscle mass (hence muscle weakness, increased fatigue, and loss of stamina). Your shoulders will become narrower and you will lose muscle definition in your upper torso without a VIGOROUS exercise program.

Little to mild breast development (gynecomastia), and mild fat redistribution around the hips and thighs.

The penis may shrink.

Hot flushes and night sweats in some cases, lasting up to 5 years.

POSSIBLE moodiness and tearfulness. Do not be surprised if you start crying far more frequently over what may seem to be trivial matters.

There MIGHT be cognitive losses, mostly in spatial orientation and short term memory

Post-surgical depression is common. Possible chronic depression SHOULD be a major concern, and may require professional therapy. This is far more likely to happen to non-elective eunuchs.

The WORST side effect is osteoporosis. You should take at least 1,500 MG of calcium and 400 IU of Vitamin D daily. Shortly before or after castration, you should have a bone density scan, and after that a scan every two years. A proper diet and exercise program will help in the battle against osteoporosis.

Most Physicians have no experience in caring for a hypogonadal man. Consider finding a Physician who has a thorough working knowledge on the problems and treatments of menopausal and post-menopausal women. Whilst the biology of a Eunuch and a post-menopausal woman are not identical, there is some overlap.

Thank you all for your replies. I did have a fairly good idea of the general direction I was going when I elected to be castrated, but it's good to hear it from others who have trod the road before me.

Of course, I 've not yet experienced this, but I do find myself much calmer, have only small flashes of anger instead of the rage I occasionally experienced two months ago. Thank God! I only noticed this recently, but it's a welcome

I do get mild hot flushes (Andrew, you write the Queen's English, are you British?)

I definitely have a reduced libido; this is welcome. The only reason I know the plumbing still works is that I keep playing with my remaining toy. Since my post, I'm experimenting to see if I can go without this. The body responds to needs or stresses placed upon it, and the more I wank, the more my endocrine system will try to provide the necessary fuel (testosterone) to make that possible.

I am DEFINITELY more emotional! Cry off and on over songs, situations, thoughts - you name it, I've cried over it! Very spontaneous and occasionally embarrassing! This is NOT a good time to fall in love, which unfortunately seems to be happening. Bloody hell!

Weight gain? Not yet, but it is probably in the offing. My arse is already fairly broad. Always had horrid, oily skin all my life. This has DISAPPEARED! (Another Thank God!) Beard growth is slowing; it's been a day and a half since I've shaved and I only have fine stubble.

I looked like this before castration! Always thought I was born with a eunuchoid body type except that I'm hairy.

"The penis may shrink".

I was circumcised and I now have a foreskin! Does that tell tell you anything? If it gets any smaller, I shall have to sit when I piss!

As to osteoporosis, I have been taking a calcium-zinc-Vit D supplement already. I believe my doctor is planning to schedule a bone density test after the beginning of the new year. Also, my physician is female, and she took all this in stride. (LOL) Far better than my male urologist who shouted at me, "You were castrated because you had spermatoceles"? He just cannot comprehend why a man might want to live without his bollocks. Poor bloke!

Thanks again to all of you who have posted. Yes, a FAQ for new eunuchs would be a wonderful idea. Andrew provided a very good basis for it with his post. (BTW, Andrew, I live in the SFV a bit north of you and work in City of Commerce. We're nearly neighbors considering the global reach of the WWW.)

Speaking of which, it's 2AM and time for me to leave for the office. We have lots of European customers, so it's necessary to man (eunuch?) the telephones at this bloody early hour.

Sincere Thanks,

Greg in LA

(Perhaps not so half-assed as I thought!)

That is funny to see one who was once a man write this! We women are prone to these "emotions" anyway, but especially when newly pregnant- the crying over songs, movies, etc. Or PMS can have that effect too. Faling in love easily, etc. Now you will see men in a whole different light! ;)

Some what. Born in England in 1944. GI Father, British Mother, and I sailed on the QUEEN MARY to the USA in 1946. Settled in Detroit. I have always been a heavy reader, and even tried to write science fiction. That may be where I developed some writing skills.
