Nonoperative ablation of the testicular artery has been described in

animals using the Burdizzo clamp, but not in humans. We report a case

of incisionless castration performed using local anesthesia, in a

transsexual who wished to avoid the pain, expense, and scar

associated with the open procedure. The Burdizzo clamp crushed the

spermatic cord bilaterally, and the testis was allowed to atrophy.

The soft-tissue damage was minimal, and the serum testosterone fell

to castrate levels. This method has proved useful for castration in a

transgender patient, but could also be used for castration in

patients with advanced prostate cancer.

Yeah it can be done, but pretty much you need the local anesthesia and really need to get it done right. The majority of the people I have talked to have had lots of problems with doing the burdizzo clamp.

The 2 things I have been told are you must clamp quickly and not just slowly clamp, and it is best to use the biggest clamp they sell.

I have clamped 4 times on the right and 3 on the left and yet to be successful?

Ok, after all that it is not the best way to get the job done. surgical by someone other than a butcher.

Neutersol does not cause castration. It is more like a vasectomy -- it will make you sterile, but will not provide the other effects of castration.

Gonex is the best bet for permanent chemical castration -- can't wait until that is on the market. If they can ever get Gonex into an oral form I can just imagine people slipping it into other peoples' drinks to get revenge ... or imagine terrorists dropping powdered Gonex into a water supply -- a whole city could be castrated!

It DID cause sufficient damage to reduce testosterone levels, but not accomplish the ultimate objective.

What is the ultimate objective?

A 70% reduction in serum testosterone levels or testosterone levels within a normative female range would be sufficient for me because even genetic females have a little testosterone.
