The question: What happens if you cut off a man's scrotum, but push the testicles up into the body? I know the sperm count will go down, but what about his testosterone levels? Will the heat change the number of male vs female sperm that survive? I need to know so I can finish writing a story.
The weird favor: I need someone with larger-than-average testicles to drain themselves completely using whatever means they need, abstain totally for a week (or more if they can) and then drain themselves again, measuring all diameters and circumferences right after the first draining and then again right before and after the second. If you go to my last thread (http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=3859) you will find what I need it for.
Thanks for any help you can give. If you think I should post this in a different section of the forums, let me know.
I have a question, plus I need a weird favor.

Re: I have a question, plus I need a weird favor.
It's been over a week, there have been over 50 views, and not one reply. Come on, guys and gals; I need some help!
I can guess what you are thinking in regards to the favor: "Why can't he measure his own?" Well, there's two major problems. #1: Though they work quite well, mine are somewhat on the small side, making accurate measurements difficult. #2: Even though we only have (normal) sex once a week, my GF insists on "cleaning me out" at least once every 48 hours, usually more often, like every 24-36. It makes it a litle hard to keep you balls full when you have your prostate stimulated while you sleep. Understand now?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can't help you with your favour, but sperm are neither male nor female. It is more likely that the conditions in the women's vagina determines the sex of a child rather than any temperature effect upon the mans testes.
If the testicle was pushed up into the abdomen, sperm production would cease almost entirely, but I believe that testosterone would continue to be produced.

Re: I have a question, plus I need a weird favor.
Questions that have readily available answers:
1) What happens if the testicles are inside the body, instead of hanging in the scrotum.
There are certainly enough humans who have been born with naturally undescended testicles. The results are testosterone production when they reach puberty, but no viable sperm whatsoever. There is also a high frequency of testicular cancer because of the higher heat. As youve noticed, the testicles are pulled up close to the body when its cold and hang further down when its hot. This is temperature regulation for sperm production. Taking very long hot baths on a frequent basis will also produce near (or sometimes total) sterility until the baths stop. (NOT a reliable form of birth control, however!)
2) What about differential production of male and female sperm at different temperatures?
The sex of the offspring is determined by whether the fertilizing sperm has an X or a Y chromosome. There have been all kinds of folk beliefs about separating male-producing and female-producing sperm, including one that goes back at least to the ancient Greeks that each testicle produced sperm for a different sex. Tying one off or removing it would mean that all subsequent children would be of the sex produced by the survivor. None of these folk beliefs seem to have even the slightest germ of truth. As far as I can determine, there is no difference in frequency based on temperature of the testicles producing the sperm. The ONLY way to separate them of which I am aware is by weight. The X chromosome weighs a tiny fraction more than the Y. Even this only works on a statistical basis and is not 100% certain.
3) How much does testicular volume change with ejaculation?
Sperm makes up only a TINY part of the volume of the ejaculate, most of which is produced by the prostate gland. It would take more sophisticated techniques that anyone here would have available to measure any difference in volume, if there is any at all.

Re: I have a question, plus I need a weird favor.
The thing is, several stories have shown up recently where the "hero" has abstained (sometimes voluntarily, sometimes not) for a while, gets measured, drained, measured again, then cut. In most of the stories, the numbers are lower by an appreciable (sp?) amount, and it's usually the circumference that was measured. Basic math, guys; diameter reduction of .5 cm means a 1.6 cm loss of circumference. C=pi * d Remember?JesusA (imported) wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2003 12:42 pm 3) How much does testicular volume change with ejaculation?

Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
