Question about long term uses of Androcur

Post by Rainshine (imported) »

Does anyone know the truth to the statement of:

Long term(6 months+) uses of androcur can lead to perment loss of testosterone in your body.

Im really afraid that that statement is very true....in which case im going to be miserable. :(

I do know that permanent sterility can occur between 6 and 12 months of continued use. The testes are very resilient, but I would say with any long term use of a castration drug, they would eventually lose the ability to produce testosterone. YMWV

I hope the same thing happens on Depo-Provera.

Yes with any castration drug long term use, the changes become permament. Read the drug companies fact sheet. They where on the web at one time. The testicles atrophy from non-use. This takes time, body biulders have to be carefull with the drug use as it's a fact the their family jewels will atrophy with the over use of drugs. It's the same with Androcur and Depo-Provera, but the time window is smaller. When your testicles stop swrinking then it's most likily a done deal that they most likily will not recover.

I am just about at my first anniversary with Androcur :) and the most noticeable

long term changes have been breast growth to about Size A cup, curvy and pointy (yum, actually) penile shrinkage to zero, glans head sitting on balls

(looks cute) it is also very sleepy, happily and dry for 10 months.

Balls feel very empty, feel dead, I'd say they feel harder but the shrinkage is nothing like the rapid rate of the penis, boy did that go! It's my hope that Christina and all of you are right but I did hear somwhere that even at this stage that if you stop the drugs then you lose eunuch status - I hope its wrong, at least prescription lasts well into 2004 which sounds very encouraging. Fingers crossed everyone is right in which case I have already reached permanancy. Other body signs including a bit of weght on thigh, hips but especially the nice breasts suggest all is well!

What are other longer term user's opinions? PS it's been a blissful year at least in this sense!

Rainshine, I am sorry I had to be the bearer of bad news for you. You have the support of lots of users here, and hopefully one day you will be ready to obtain your true desire for castration.

I wish you luck my friend.

Condolances. But WHY are you on androcur in the first place? If it was prescribed, did not your Physician warn you of long term effects?

However, even if your testicles have been permanently damaged, HRT might be of help.

Hello All:

I do not know if anyone will see or respond to this.

I have been reading the posts in here, for several months and share some similar feelings.

Can anyone help me with some over the counter herb suggestions for a reduction my "male cravings"

Thanks.
