Patience please. This is a long, complicated, story. Although the castration fits well into the plot, the story could have been told equally well without it. I know how the story ends. I'm not yet certain how we get from here to the end.

As many of you have found from reading my stories, there are often messages or points that I am trying to get across. Please believe, that if I hurt one, or both, of these boys, it will be because I felt it necessary to get such points across.

Knowing the ending keeps me awake at night.

Snyder returns to work in Chapter 6. Since he is a central figure in this story, I am posting his picture. He, however, hasn't been convicted of any crimes, so I am required to obscure his face somewhat.

How incredibly stupid. What in hell do you think you're doing?

1. There is a legal expectation of privacy in prisons.

2. Some of the images appear to be of juveniles.

3. The images appear to be in support of a "castration" story posted elsewhere on the site.

4. As I understand the law, use of underage images is illegal (even if clothed) if used in an erotic context.

5. Adults or juveniles, this jeopardizes _everyone_ who comes here and stumbles upon the images.

What are you in prison for, anyway, and why are you posting here?

Arez,

Before you blow a fuse, you need to take into account a few things:

1. You're not the board moderator, "I" am.

2. If I thought for one moment that Slammr's images were a threat in any way, I would have removed them MYSELF and PRIVATELY called him down on it...in a tactful manner, I might add.

3. If Talula thought that the images were a risk in any way, he would have done the same thing.

4. In browing the Archive, even from his secret mission, Bboy would have said something if the images were in any way illegal.

5. Don't go quoting laws that you don't fully comprehend. I work with copyright laws EVERY DAY and know them inside and out, as well as "kiddie-porn" guidelines. Believe me, I've seen hard-core siezed evidence film. You don't even want to know, trust me. These images are hardly more than amatuer portraiture.

As far as endangering the Archive, I dont' know where you lot are all getting this idea from. If you think for one moment that this site is being watched, well, you're probably right. That's why we put so much effort into it.

HOWEVER - images of prisons and prisoners are not hard to find online or at libraries in the public domain. Xeroxing and/or scanning said images or taking them digitally is perfectly legal when done not for profit and for one's own use. Just because RIAA is after a few children who downloaded several billion MP3 files doesnt' mean that suddenly every media file on a computer is illegal.

These images are property, one way or another, or Slammr's and are his to with as he sees fit. No boy, whether being an implied minor or NOT, has been harmed by these images and/or the FICTIONAL text that is accompanying them.

Please keep in mind as well that the Archive keeps a full-time lawyer on staff who is well versed in the law of the USA as it pertains to digital media and internet sites. Also keep in mind that there is a thing caused "burden of proof" and "beyond a shadow of a doubt." This also ties in with money. Even if someone were inclined to come after a website, unless it was a commercial site with hardcore evidence, the costs of pursuit and prosecution for one or two people would be prohibitive, not to mention the cost in tracking down every single user.

A friend of mine from Washington, DC said it best when she said, "You think every site and download is being watched and logged? Ha! There's no one in law enforcement with that kind of time, energy, gumption, or money."

Thank you for your support.

Now apologize to those involved, get rational, or get the hell off the site.

You're taking an unnecessary chance, one which I'm unwilling to also take, regardless of your optimistic tone. This is not a copyright matter at all. Material like this draws FBI agents like flies, and who could blame them? It would be for absolutely valid reasons.

I will delete "arez" and will not return to the site.

BBoy heard my concerns years ago, actually, on the very subject of underage participants in the EA "castration", "penectomy" and "nullo" stories. It made me extremely uncomfortable then, and it does now.

While the EA forums provide a "friendly home for the Eunuch Community", the operators of the site mostly aren't eunuchs, but are wannabes with apparent erotic fixations.

Good bye.

None of the pictures that I’ve posted is in any way obscene, or even suggestive. These pictures are of the boys as I “know” them. Whether they are accepted by the readers of “Terry”, is up to the reader. As I stated, he is free to choose between my pictures of the boys in the story, or he is free to form his own in his imagination. The story and the posted pictures are separate items. The association is in the mind of the beholder.

The real obscenity is that this story is true. All over the country, sixteen year-old boys are being sentenced as adults to long prison terms for no more than what Harris, Jon, or Terry did. Everything in the story, the inhumane treatment by guards and the prison system, the hot cells, which, without air-conditioning in the summer heat of South Texas, can be deadly, the rapes of younger convicts by older ones, the sexual abuse by guards, the killing of prisoners by guards and other convicts, has happened-and continues to happen.

If this story would be read here without my including some eroticism, and if I didn’t feel that it was necessary to convey the feelings that I wish to convey-this is, after all, a love story-I wouldn’t include it. I think that I’ve exhibited restraint, but this story becomes more intense as it continues. If you’re just reading it for a castration, you’ve had one-Harris; please read no more. This story is a tragedy-just as what actually happens in prisons is a tragedy. If you just want to be titillated, I hope that you’ll accept what I’ve given you up to this point and read no more. Bad things happen to good people-in stories, as well in real life.

If I’m slow to respond to posts, I apologize. Being in prison, I have no Internet access and have to smuggle out my responses.

I am dedicating this story to a young man, who, upon reading the first part, wrote me. This is as much his story as it is mine, Terry’s, Jon’s, or Harris’. Sentenced to prison at the age of seventeen, he has experienced everything that these boys have and more. I’ve had to escalate the violence, the inhumane treatment, the sexual abuse, and the physical and mental torture, to keep pace with the truth. The truth is worse than the fiction, because, in truth, it is happening to real people-people who are damaged for life-people who cannot rid themselves of the nightmare that they lived, and which, in their dreams, they continue to live.

This person did not write seeking sympathy. It was only after several contacts that he even began to reveal much of what he had experienced. I hope he knows that I have the utmost respect for him and would never reveal a confidence or his identity. He’s trying, the best he can, to put the experience behind him.

I have also another writer to thank. Having worked in the Texas prisons, he described the strip searches, the lock downs, the unbearably hot cells, the inhumane treatment, and the sexual abuse of the younger convicts by the other inmates-done at times with the complicity of the guards, and done by some of the guards. The description of the eighty man communal cell at the Whinns unit came from him.

From the Internet, I found that guards in Texas prisons have been indicted for sexual assault and even murder of prisoners in Texas.

In the past I have invented worlds in which it would seem plausible to inflict pain, torture, sexual abuse, and castrations on the characters of my stories. There was no need. In our country, worlds, horrific beyond my imagination, already exist.

Disclaimer: The principal characters in “Terry”-Terry and Jon-actually existed and some of the events in the story actually happened. As a whole, however, the story is fiction, with many of the characters being either imagined or composites of real characters. There is no claim that the pictures posted on this board are actually of the characters in the story. They are as I “see” them. In my mind, I make such an association. Any like association in the mind of a reader of this thread, is the responsibility of that reader.
