Dave the last time I had to fly was on a business trip, well it was a 4 day convention in California, (Disneyland) when I got on the plane I was so tired I grabed a pellow and went stright to sleep, I did not even know we were in the air until we were over Utah.

I love to fly,

I love the idea of a seat belt hanging out the door making a wonderful sound

Oh Dave I think I know just how you must feel ๐Ÿคฎ

Fried twinkies??!!

๐Ÿ˜„

Deep fried twinkies are considered by Food-TV to be in the top five great treats of all time. They take twinkies, cover them in batter and drop them in a deep fat frier (like a french fry)... They also do this to Mars bars, ice cream, oreos, corn dogs, etc... It's Gourmet Food for the county fair and Agriculture extravaganza !...

Sorry, about mis-spelling fried and fired in the first post. It's my poor arthritic fingers.

As for flying in a plane - - I fly in big airplanes (jets) but I don't enjoy takeoff and landing. I once flew in a single engine Muni and hated it.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if the eunuch calm which some feel, is like flying in a sailplane. If you are soaring in a sailplane, the flight is usually silent, noiseless, and smooth, and gives you the sensation of floating in the sky, in harmony with everything.

The music from Tristan and Isolde (Wagner) does it for me. Almost all of Mozart's music, Beethoven for sure does, "vignt regards sur le enfant jesu" by Messian also does it.

Sailboats might. Airplanes don't.

such is life.
