Well the totals are in for my E.R castration. Got the bad news in the mail today 😭 Hospital bill $8,000.00, Anesthesiology $740.00, Urologist $2,700.00

If I pay in full the hospital will knock off 50% bringing the total to $7,440.00.

I don't know his rates, but I'm guessing Dr. Kemmel is far cheaper.

Still, that total is less than a cheap used car and much less than a stay in a psychiatric hospital. Sign a promisary note. And smile. Good luck. 🔨

I'm not sure Dr. Kimmel is that much cheaper if you include travel to Philadelphia (depends on where you live I guess). But Dr. Kimmel would probably have been a wiser way to go.

Dr. Kimmel charges $2,000.00 USD. A $750.00 deposit is required in advance. Balance due upon arrival at his office is $1,250.00. Personal checks and credit cards are not accepted. He does have a deal going with a hotel within a block of his clinic. For a 2 night stay it will only cost $85.00. The total for my stay there is $2,085.00 plus meals. I'm going to save travel money by driving there, otherwise you'd have to figure that into your expence.

Folks, those costs are reasonable and appropirate.

At least, I think that they sound reasonable. My insurance covered most of my cardiac bypass surgery in 2002. I still owe about $500.00. My mental health stay (for depression) a decade ago wiped me out. The deductible cost was over $4500 (because I had too much debt before hospitalization. Co-pay for medications and physicians’ visits cost me as much as $300 a month. That is why I think the costs listed here sound reasonable.

What you guys talk about is not outlandish or silly. I would think that you could get what you want included under coverage. However, check before you make a decision.

At any rate, most people working even a low-paying job (welcome to Louisiana) could afford $2000-3000. Divide that figure by any number of months saving or repayment of a loan.

I beg to differ with you on this but here in Florida one can purchase a good, used car for around $600. With this you could either drive to Philly or have someone use it to run over your testicles. Either way is good. 🚬

This should probably be a new thread. Intimacy questions and eunuchs intrigue me. Questions about sex and sexuality, sexual and gender development, intimacy and sexuality, sexual and gender orientation, and sexual difficulties and disorders underlie our explorations and experiences. I am amazed by how much I have learned about celibacy simply as a side-effect to treatment for depression. We know more than many people might about levels and styles of intimacy. We probably know a lot about barriers to intimacy.

🚬 As I understand it one can get free medical care in England regardless of where one is from. Just be there. However, there may be a waiting period. Who knows. It may be worth a trip. And if need be, one could always become a British citizen & keep one's own citizenship since the Brits recognise dual citizenships.
