And I will post it right here, totally off-board so that normally nobody would find it, which schould make no difference in this case, cause every posting will be read, no matter which board, if it's really so dead here as you say!

It's something I really ponder about:

How does Testosterone work?

I mean particulary those who get or got it, .ähmwhatsitsname, atificially(?) should be able to tell what the psychological effect in detail is, and I'm also interested in the biological process because I wonder:

How is it used up?

The T-Level is responsible (in general) for sexual arousal.

But is the T-Level vice-versa affected by sexual action, especially ejaculation?

I understand one get's regular shots or salve, while salves should give a more constant effect, because it uses up with the time, but how?

Is it used up, you know, every ejaculation a bit?

Most probably not, I suppose.

But if not, where does the effect of satisfaction come from?

Is that a temporarily low T-Level in certain Brain-regions (where it has been used up?) and will be compensated by the In-Blood-Level soon?

Is satisfaction folowing sexual action caused by something else that is just "initiated" by a certain T-Level?

It's something I really ponder about:

How does Testosterone work?

Testosterone operates by fastening its molecules to "receptors" in the areas which are sensitive to anabolics/androgens: the brain, muscles, sex organs, etc. When there's a good fit...baby...sparks fly!

This fact has been exploited recently by organic chemists, working 24 hours a day, eager to find new over-the-counter bodybuilding supplements which can skirt under the existing US Schedule III anabolic steroid laws. They've designed some similar molecules, which in some cases, "fool" the receptors into doing their anabolic/androgenic thing. Likely some new legislation will take care of this loophole, however. Note: one recent one sold as 1-testosterone makes _very_ good HRT. I've used an extremely inexpensive topical from Global Nutricals (no...not Neuticals 8o) ) which is amazing. It gives good muscle mass, reduced body hair growth, improved mood, reduced libido compared to the Androderm patches I customarily use. Seems better, actually.

Nope, except that there is _some_ relation of T levels to emotional states in guys who possess working testicles.

Most probably not, I suppose.

Seems like Androgel topical testosterone gel is the best RX thing going, it's really convenient...no shots or patches...but it's also the most expensive of all the HRT systems. Anything you apply just absorbs through the skin, like vanishing cream. The testosterone part is very small compared to the gel carrier, and is disposed of by the body as I described above.

Actually, I experienced _no_ T for some years, and I think my own receptors got sensitive to any and all similar molecules, but that's just my 'eunique' experience. Some of those bodybuilder OTC synthetics are quite powerful in my own body.

Thanks again, I learned a lot. Have you ever heard of a product called EcdyMax from EAS? That product is suposed to stimulate production of testosterone.

I checked out EAS's EcdyMax at Netriton.com, and it looks like a very interesting product. The description says it "maximizes testosterone production". I can see in my (wacked) mind's eye those molecules of EcdyMax wringing the last drops of testosterone out of some bodybuilder's microscopic balls...CBT style!

I settled on Global Nutrical/Image's Dermocypional TD topical from the same Netrition folks because 1-testosterone is the only thing on the market that's anabolic/androgenic right out of the bottle...a genuine (legal for the moment) steroid...and it's only $25 for a month's supply...if you use it modestly like HRT.

I've been on this since the first of the year instead of AndroDerm patches, with fairly amazing results. Normally, when a eunuch discontinues T, well known things happen. In this case, I'm bigger, stronger, less hairy, and libido mellowed out but sexually functioning pretty well. Works as advertised. This stuff also makes for small(er) mounts of _cloudy_ semen upon ejaculation, which is more like a guy who has balls. I never experienced that in 6 years on RX Testosterone. Seems easy on the prostate, too.

I mention this here because it really is an amazing product.

Probably available for a short time thanks to likely changes to the steroid laws. Because it's very cheap and really works as an alternative HRT, I think anyone who's on T might want to have a bottle or two on hand just in case the gen-u-wine article becomes scarce/impossible to get, as it was a few years ago.

From Global's propagands:

"1-testosterone is an active steroidal hormone molecule – it needs no conversion to a target hormone for efficacy. Studies have shown it to be over 700% more anabolic than testosterone! What is even more impressive is that since 1-testosterone is a 5 alpha reduced version of testosterone and a metabolite of dihydrotestosterone it cannot convert to estrogen or dihydrotestosterone.
