Well now Lupin, you've come to the right place for info. Let me offer you some thoughts. I've been taking Androcur for two weeks now, and thus far, it's been just great. Yes, I do feel kind of calm....although I think "serene" would be a better word. A very pleasant state of being; it kicked in about 6 days into the med regimen. Thus far, I have not experienced the unhappy side effects (hot flashes, weeping at cell phone commercials, etc.), but the actual lose of libido also kicked in by the end of the first week, and continues. I have not gained weight; in fact, I've lost 4 pounds in two weeks. I suspect that is because instead of dwelling on sexual things, I've been working in the yard, doing projects around the house, etc. That's my two cents. YMMV.

Many congratulations TPfromPGH. Great to read Androcur kicked in so soon and I am so glad you've found serenity already. Andrew, thank you for a very complete list. I think "nocturnal" emissions are something no

eunuch need worry about from about day1 though! As with everything there is a price to pay and weight gain is one and some breast growth

but as Andrew suggests this is not an issue - believe me your set of values and pleasures as a chemical eunuch or surgical one change very nicely.

What may appear as an issue to a virile guy soon evaporates; believe me. Before choosing to be a eunuch, think and do it because it is what you require and need. It is a serious issue and requires thought and support.

ok, maybe some people can answer me some questions... is hand eye coordination at all effected by this? like are you not as skilled at driving a car (i drive a stickshift), in addition to other hand eye coordination things like martial arts or video games. what about strength, do you actually get weaker, or just more soft skin? can you build strength? i'm still just in the curiousity stage of this.

Lupin i dont think you ever have to worry about hand eye coordiantion at least i didnt .You may loose some stringth if you dont work out but if you do you acn always stop taking medications for it is not like surgical castration and that is why i feel it is better to take meds at first.Good luck.

Lupin that is a good question and let me answer that for you.Befor chemical castration i was always angry and upset with myself or my wife the testosterone did not work well for me.Now i am much more open to my wife and when i hold her and tell her i love her she knows that i mean it.Sex is not very importent for a woman if your spouce dose not mean what he is saying or he treates her badley and i did this for many years .She should have left me many times but now we are both happy that she didnt and yes we do have sex but not as often .

wow that sounds really positive.... i gotta to say that this sounds more and more appealing to me. i'd maybe jump on the boat really soon, if i wasn't worried about the side effects besides reduced libido.
