What are reputation points? How should you interpret your results? Is there anything you should do about it?

A lot depends upon the individual.
When the were first introduced, it was said that one idea was to allow regular posters to be grouped together and that as your points increased, might your privileges.
Some people seem to attach a lot of significance to them, whilst others pay little or no attention.
