Actually, the most common figure I've seen bandied around has eunuchs living 10-15 years longer then intact males, from the effects of testosterone.

I would argue that quality of life is at least as important as its quantity. There are certainly very different definitions of what constitutes “quality.” Old Softee is arguing that erections and ejaculation are very important for his definition of quality. Andrew asserts that the “eunuch calm” is important for his. We should celebrate that both are finding ways to enhance their quality of life, though they are very different in what they are seeking.

Jesus is right. For the record, my long years with almost no desire were themselves rewarding and most probably, that phase will eventually return. I don’t regret my loss of potency, but I enjoy its return for at least a bit.
