Made by the same company that wrote the chat server itself. Great blend of the best features of IRC chat clients and the more modern ICQ and MSN Messenger type IM clients.

When installing, the software asks you for some information for "registering" That information is in no way required, but if you wish to fill it out it's also in no way associated with the Archive. In other words they can't tell anything about what servers you connect to once it's installed.

Just an observation...

This installation requires a reboot.

AND if you're running a custom NEC video driver in relation to Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1's Gamma manager, it will SCRAMBLE it.

I came up with a very yellow tinged screen after installation and had to reconfigure my monitor all over again, so watch out.:-\

It does require a reboot. As for the other issue I can't say. I've been studying the installation to see if I can package a custom install pre-configured with all Archive settings like the BERSIRC package that's available for download. I know what files get installed and what gets changed so I can't imagine what would interact with a video driver or anything of the kind.

It's good software and has been working great for me.

I didn't say it wasn't good...I figure if you came up with it, it must be OK. I just wanted to make everyone aware of the snag I hit.

I mean, really, how many Archive users out there are going to be running an NEC driver that's shagging away at the Photoshop 7 color balancer when they install it? The odds are NOT high, so no one should be afraid of it.
