Re: S O S Im turrning into a FatSo!
Scottie,
I experienced the same thing. I topped out at Christmas at 265 lbs, and realized I had to do something.
First thing to understand is there are different "kinds" of weight. There is muscle/bone, there is fat, and there is water. People often get so hung up on their weight that they forget to consider the composition of that weight.
For example, many people start a serious exercise program then get disappointed because they don't lose weight. However, they may be losing fat and just gaining muscle ...
A lot of hormonal weight gain is due to water, such as women who get "bloated" during their monthly cycle.
If you are worried about your health, you only need to reduce fat -- muscle and water weight is perfectly healthy. If you are worried about looking good, then you'll want to reduce water weight as well (to avoid a bloated look).
My suggestion is that you try a weight loss supplement like Hydroxycut. It uses caffeine and some other compounds to reduce water weight and to increase metobolism (and therefore lose fat).
I've been using Hydroxycut for two months now (in conjuction with diet and exercise) and have lost 25 lbs!
Regarding diet, you will want to avoid dairy as it tends (even low fat dairy) to cause water bloating. Of course you must make sure you are still getting your share of calcium (take a multivitamin).
I hope all this helps!

Dude, lay off the Twinkies, for starters.
When we're upset, we tend to eat. I know I do.
Don't DO it!
Cut back on the starchy, rooty veggie stuff and the bread. Bread is bad. So is sugar!
Lean meat and plenty of rabbit food...don't be so obsessed with fat content as you should be with complex carbohydrate content. Cut the carbs, starches and sugars and get some exercise.
Get a dog, ride a bike, befriend a kid...all of the above...that'll take it off of ya, trust me.
You'll be worn out, too.
And don't take up smoking, either.

I am taking the daily recomended dose of Testosterone but the weight doesen't seem to matter. It's comming on anyway. Does your system slow down even when you are replacing the normal t levels or even higher? How can I get this weight off me. Im eating less, exercising 3 times aweek in a gym and walking 5 miles a week. Help me pleae!!!!!!!!
Scottie
Whilst you may be taking the daily recommended dose of testosterone, it may not be enough. You may be getting enough to increase libido and energy levels, but still not to the former level. Eunuchs not on testosterone HRT tend to gain 10-50 pounds, in spite of diet and exercise programs. Then the diet and exercise programs, IF CONTINUED, start to work.
Reminder: Your body may still be in a state of shock from all the damage you willfully did to it, as well as the after-effects of your crashing testosterone levels. It is going to take time, patience, and lots of effort to balance things again. "There is no royal road to weight loss."
But always remember that you have your frinds in the EA for support and encouragement.

As much as I hate to say it, I know a fair number of people that have lost a lot of weight on the Atkins diet. Surprising, I know. I've even heard that it helps lower cholesterol.
I know I'm tempted to gvie it a try.

Sigh....Scottie, please....before you even THINK of taking a diuretic, or an appetite suppresant, or adjusting your paxil dosage, CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIANS FIRST! Self diagnoses and self medication should be forgotten, OK?
Uncle Andrew scolds again...

Scottie0007 (imported) wrote: Sat Jul 26, 2003 4:38 am As far as the diearetic offered does anyone have any suggestions re- water weight loss that is not a rx. I cant do appetite suppresants cause of my heart. Also Andrew, I do take paxil but have been on it with no weight gain for 2 years and then all of this started, I mean the weight gain. I also agree that if my body is in a state of shock as bad as my emotions, it will take some time for things to quiet down.

Scottie, Andrew is correct on this. Take your time as it has not been that long since it happened. You need to make sure you get suffient exercise, and cut down on the ICE cream
It took me 10 years to go from 180lb to 280lb due to low testosterone. At that time my ass looked like a womans a nice looking ass it was

At age 58, I'm probably too old to learn all that stuff. But if I were younger, I'd follow in the pioneering steps of Drs. Spector and Kimmel on offering castrations.
