Now if we could only get a site that talks about castrating humans. Castrating farm animals is of course related, but men often react much differently. Banding men is ok as a first step, till the balls die. (24 hours at most)

Then they must be cut off, after suturing the cords shut above the band. Also the scrotum must then be excised above the band. Then after closure of the blood vessels, the skin must be sutured so as to promote healing. If this is not done, Blood poisoning may well cause death.

It seems to me that just skipping the bands, and doing the castration with a surgical procedure from the start, would be less painful, and quicker both to get done, and to heal.
