Old softee

I understand the HRT part, since I to am on HRT, but what other meds were you on that prevented you from being sexually active? what are you on now? I have lots of gay friends on lots of SSRI antidepressants and all of them are having prformance problems. I'd like to pass on information about something that won't screw up their sex life. I also probably should be on anti depressants, but won't due to the sexual side effects.

medication, seems to have fewer sexually related problems than Prozac, Paxil, two other medications I used. Lexapro may interfer with ejaculatory response but I am not aware to that problem--at this time. 🚶 🚶

wellbutrin SR has been my anti-depressant of choice for a couple years now. most guys who take it find that it has the OPPOSITE effect; that is, it increases libido and does NOT cause problems attaining orgasm. no significant side effects, and i lost 20 pounds.

if you are on paxil, DO NOT QUIT COLD TURKEY. talk to your doc about tapering off. i tried paxil for a few months and became unable to orgasm, put on weight, and still felt like crap. getting off the stuff, even by tapering, was a nightmare.

btw, a plus with wellbutrin is you can quit smoking if you want (it's sold as zyban for that purpose).

several years ago. I don't recall why I stopped using it and tried another medicaiton. However, your report makes me wish I had stayed with it.

Lexapro has been the blessing to me that does not have the side-effects of Prozac and Paxil. Thanks for the recommendation. :-\
