Avatar Question

I have noticed that some of the members names are different colors. I've seen mine change color, but I did nothing. How do I change the colors for the text in my avatar?

That's actually just me playing around Christina 🤾

The colors actually correspond to the usergroup the person is in. Apart from moderators and Administrators, the usergroup is determined by the number of posts you have.

At the moment there's no substantive differences between the usergroups. vB3 has a user 'promotion' system that will automatically move people from one usergroup to another based on a combination of factors including time as a member, number of posts, and user reputation.

Many boards plan to impliment this to progressively give more privelages to members as they post more, have been around longer, or gain more respect in the community.

The Admins here at the present time have no plans to change access based on these criteria, other than we might give for example more private message storage space to people who reach a certain post count, or the same with attachment storage space.

We wouldn't reduce it for anyone, just add on more as a perk for the regular contributors.

As for the colors, that's an Admin function so there's not much you can do to customize it yourself. It's set on the usergroup level.

Bboy,

Is the formatting of the "User Title" also an administrator function only? I noticed that your title is "Red Font" when everybody else has "Black Font".

Yes, Mac ... that's something that has to be entered in through the administrator control panel. I kind of like having mine different than everyone else's but I would entertain - no promises though - for certain special people.
