Hey y'all-

Been on Androcur for 9 days now, 150-200mg/day, gonna' drop it to 100mg tomorrow.

I'm still horny as hell, but I got a surprise, something noone's mentioned.

I jacked off last night, hadn't for a couple days... gobs of 'cum', but it was crystal clear! No spermies! Didn't smell so strong either... I wanna' do it again, just to see that 'clean' stuff come out.

BTW, how long until my balls start to shrink... actually how long until I'm not horny anymore?

1) READ the instructions, start off slow. Start with the minimum dosage suggested. Reread the instructions once a week. SLOWLY work your way up. Reread the instructions once a week.

2) Go to your Physician (or whatever) NOW, tell him/her exactly what you are doing, and ask for a liver profile NOW, and advice as to when a follow up liver profile would be a good idea.

3) Start taking 1.500 MG calcium daily, along with 400 IU of vitamin A daily.

Of course, these are just SUGGESTIONS. I wouldn't want anyone to think I was being bossy.

Andrew, I agree with you 100%. It is essential that a base level reading is taken - usually before starting androcur taken by the Dr. I think Androcur can be prescribed in Germany so no-one should be self medicating there. (If I'm wrong, tell me).

Whatever, your stated self dosage is way way to high and dangerous to your health. Its amazes me that you have erections still and that you

produce liquids. You will be dry and soft soon but reduce your intake

down. I am not qualified to advise you and will not but Andrew's suggestion is sound advice - seek out your own Dr or a Men's health Dr now if you are shy and get professional advice, please.

Fatigue is about to hit you in a big way, do not undertake any tasks that put you or others at risk.

Prescribed Androcur and patient support are essential and I have previously posted messages here urging US regulatory authorities to

make US prescription possible; the amount of US self medication proves the urgency of protecting men's health and being on hand to provide advice and give all support testing needed, which happens elsewhere.

Shit... now you've got me all scared. Um... seeing a doctor is difficult here, I'm American, my German isn't too good, dealing with enough stress already, moving here and all.

So what if I just stop taking it? Or immediatly ease off? Am I screwed? am I gonna' hit massive fatigue anyway?

I thought liver toxicity took like 2-3 months too occur? I haven't been on 200mg the whole time... started @ 50mg /day, only taken @200mg/day like 2 or 4 days... last few days was only 150mg... so if I just stop being stupid right now, I'm fine, right? Really don't want to have to deal with liver test, etc.

BTW, I'm a heathly 26yo.

Well, first of all, don't panic. I was on Androcur for months and had to build up to 300mg/day before my horniness subsided. Unfortunately it was accompanied by significant fatigue. And when I tried to reduce the dosage, my horniness came back. Eventually I gave up because at 300mg/day it was just too damn expensive! But while I was on it, it was great not needing sex twice a day, and after a couple of weeks I had no ejaculate at all. And from what I've read, the liver toxicity issue is a fairly rare side effect, even at that high a dose.

When I was taking Androcur, I did get to 200 mg/day. It was not sufficient to dampen my libido. I was still jacking off frequently for weeks. I did shoot blanks for that time.

When I supplemented Androcur with Tamoxifen, my libido went completely blank. I eased my dosages back down to a final sustaining level of 25 mg of Androcur and 10 mg of Tamoxifen.

Libido stayed in a comfortable level of once maybe 2 weeks. Ejaculate came back but more watery. Erections are hard to achieve, and rarely getting hard enough and for long enough time for penetration. Just about where I wanted.

The side effects from low T though was awful. (Check into other posts on this archive.) I stopped Androcur after 4 years.

Effects pretty much stayed permanent in terms of libido. Other than still a bit lowered energy levels, most other side effects stopped.

I've been on Androcur for 6 months now (between 50-100mg/day) and still have quite a Libido. Not nearly as bad as before, but very annoying none the less. My wife has a very low Libido and I am trying to save our marriage by lowering mine. It took about 3 weeks for me to notice any real change in my sex drive or ability. It is harder to get excited now and my ejaculate is very low volume and mostly clear. I have not had any other real side effects yet. My Doc is monitoring my Liver function as well as other standard blood tests to make sure I am not screwing myself up too much. I like the feeling of being more in control of my sexual urges and want to continue this pattern for many years to come.

Find a Doc that is willing to work with you ASAP. It is not worth doing permanent damage to your self for a little fetish.

According to the literature that comes with my Siterone (same active ingredient cyproterone acetate) liver damage has been reported in individuals taking 200~300 mg a day so I would highly recommend taking regular blood tests for liver function. Having a test done isnt too much of a hassle...they just draw some blood and call you later with the results.

The literature also states that it is fine to be on up to 300mg a day for a short period of time but once satisfactory result is achieved you should gradually lower your dose(50mg at a time) at intervals of several weeks. However, it doesn't state what it considers a "short period of time".

Still, it is important to have an understanding doc to work with.
