Just want back and read this story, which has a curious parallel in truth. In 1966 (?) a female VC was operating around a Marine Corp position in South Viet Nam. She was apparently the leader of the local cell, and was brutally sadistic, yes I can make value judegements such as that. The routine was generally the same, when a Marine was captured, he would be tied to a tree within hearing distance of the line and tortured so that the men of his unit could hear his screaming. At dusk, the female VC, would release him, emasculate him, and push him towards his line.
He would stumble into the line, and usually die of either shock or blood loss.
One evening while squatting to relieve herself, the female VC received a love note from a famous Marine Sniper, thus her career was closed out in a fine red mist.

Valid points, I had forgotten her name. Unusual in the it took CH two to put her down. If you know her name you know who I am refering to. Feel a certain kinship, since he and I were the same age and went to boot camp in 1959. He deserved a lot better than he got, including the Navy Cross as opposed to the Silver Star for his actions on his second tour. Like him I grew up hunting with a 22.
