Best way to reduce testosterone below 250?

Post by Walt1941 (imported) »

My T ranges from 306 to 400. Want to get lower. Have been on 5 MG Finasteride for over 15 years. Also 40-plus year diabetic. Between the two, now have no sexual desire, lost most body hair but have full head of hair. Also have gynecomastia, size A or A + per my wife. What is best route to lowering T to 200 2-250 or lower. Wife not interested in sex.

When I started on my journey to getting fixed, the doc put me on Lupron injections, which dropped me to under 12 (the detection limit for the test used)... Lupron is one of the drugs of choice for "androgen deprivation" in treating hormone sensitive prostate cancer, among other uses... It is an injection, the one I used was monthly, I think there are also 3 month versions, possibly others.

It is a 'specialty pharmacy' item, and comes in a fairly elaborate multi-section syringe that mixes the drug w/ a carrier just before injecting into your thigh with a LONG needle.

Definitely a prescription item, so you will need to work w/ your doc to get it.

I used Androcor for about 4 years stopping about 15 years ago, and got my total T down to 137 (normal range 251-1,068 ng/dL), free T to 10.7 (normal range 35-155 pg/mL). I now have to take TRT due to osteopenia. I am maintaining around Total T 353, Free T 43.5, basically the low end of normal range, which hopefully will slow or stop osteopenia from progressing.

Unfortunately, at this level, my hairline started to recede, but most body hair lost previously did not return. I do have some gynecomastia, not too much but noticeable.
