One Week to Nullification!
I've been more active on Twitter (sorry, "X" :shakemitk), but wanted to share with my EA peeps that I will FINALLY be having my penectomy and scrotectomy on Wednesday, May 22! It's been a long journey. I first developed an interest around '05; began to think seriously about becoming a eunuch around '12; and became one in '15 at the hands of our friend Dr. Arnkoff.
Those who know me know I had an ugly setback after my castration because I foolishly went off a medication cold turkey. For years I thought my depression and anxiety were at least tangentially related to my castration. So when I started thinking about becoming a nullo in...maybe '18?...I thought I was crazy.
Those who know me also know that my husband's discomfort with me becoming a nullo also played a huge role in my not moving forward. Turns out that he didn't really understand that I was experiencing dysphoria and needed this. He could've made more of an effort to understand; I couldn't done a better job advocating for myself. It's water under the bridge now because he gets it and has been COMPLETELY LOVING AND SUPPORTIVE. I'm absolutely over the moon.
I'm thinking about what nullos have said--that they were absolutely certain in the days leading up to the surgery. That's me now, at long last. All my pre surgery stuff and labs are done. Now It's just waiting 7 1/2 more days. I'm unspeakably happy, albeit impatient and annoyed that I haven't been able to smoke weed for a bit, lol.
In case you're wondering, the surgery is being performed by Dr. Jonathan Keith and Dr. Nitin Patel. Both are located in NJ, NYC area. Keith is the plastic surgeon; Patel is the urologist. They are frequent collaborators on genital surgeries. I am not retaining the glans because the idea of any bit of my penis (aside from the necessary urethra) makes me feel dysphoric. Honestly, having an erection causing me emotional pain now. I know enough nullos who can cum who have not preserved the glans and I know at least one who kept the glans and still has trouble cumming, so I'm willing to roll the dice on that.
Again, I haven't really been active on here for a long time, but thank you, EA folks, for being around!
If anyone wants to follow my journey on Twitter (sorry Elon, it's Twitter) I intend to post regular pic updates like FrenchNullo does. My handle is @BallessBoy1, though I'm sure that'll be changing post-surgery! Will supply the new one when I've made it.
