I get a e-newsletter every month about papers and research, etc. being done by the "Model Knowledge Transfer Centers", which are the top facilities for SCI, TBI and Burns care - so reputable people... I saw this in the latest edition that might be of interest if anyone here is eligible... I don't know anything that isn't in the quote, so reach out to the quoted sources w/ any questions...
TBIMS Recruits Transgender and Non-Binary People with TBI for Study
The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility Special Interest Group (IDEA SIG) within the Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems has a gender identity task force that is preparing a report on best practices for collecting data on gender identity. This taskforce is seeking five volunteers who have sustained a TBI and who identify as transgender or non-binary to participate in an advisory board to review language for data collection for the Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems Longitudinal study. Please reach out to Mackenzie Peckham at [email protected] or 303-789-8543 if you would like to participate on this advisory board or if you have any questions.
