We talk about the up and coming surgery, future further surgery options and post HRT. She did a breast exam and general health questions. I do need to get a MRI breast screening done this spring. She wants me to schedule a follow up appt. After surgery. She did do some blood work. All was good, hormones levels are T 284 E124 and P 2.0 the T is high as I don’t take the HRT full time, I tend to cycle on and off as I do not want large breasts, my body responses a lot when on HRT and it seam to be cumulative. No issue with moods or anything. I also have appt. With my therapist today, looking forward to that and the day this is done.

Sounds like good progress. Congratulations... Is you gender doc an endocrinologist, or do you have one? It might be worth checking about the wisdom of going on and off the estrogen HRT.... I'm not an expert, but what I have heard is that starting estrogen is basically sending your breasts the same signals a girl gets when she hits puberty, namely that it's time for the :boobies: to start growing... So you get a big initial growth spurt that slows down after a few months, and then you keep going until they are 'full grown' at 1-2 years... This also matches my experience with staying on E patches consistently. I have not heard that there is anything to keep you from ending up with whatever your body thinks is it's 'design spec' other than possibly switching to SERMs which have their own issues.... I do NOT know, but wonder if switching on and off could be sending your body lots of 'growth spurt' signals and make you end up with BIGGER breasts than you would have gotten if you had been on steadily... I could be entirely wrong, but seems like it would be worth checking...

Hope you have a great day and are as happy as I was when I was done in March eleven years ago. No regrets whatsoever.

I have a Telehealth appt. tomorrow with the nurse about the surgeries, instructions and after care. My conversation last week with the surgeon was very postive. He said that he really has become focused on the plastic surgeries aspect of neat cosmetic appearance. A Vulvuplasty is something I have thought about for a long time but as Wheelyfixed commented on is that being in a chair and having to use a catheter would be very difficult with a vagina. Less than 2 weeks now, looking forward to waking up and knowing it’s done.

Sounds like great news - Congratulations, and let us know how things go...

When I had my surgery, the only real complication I had (which resulted in having to make a trip to the ER...) was that the swelling was so much that I literally couldn't pull my penis out far enough to stick my usual intermittent catheter into the urethra.... If you have to cath, I'd STRONGLY advise having them put in a Foley as part of your surgery care, and then plan to leave it in until the swelling goes down... Also note that it is reported that ice on the area on the day of surgery helps, and 'Alleve' or it's generic equivalents is supposed to be the most effective of the NSAID's at dealing w/ swelling...
