I updated my new insurance info to the surgery center and got confirmation that they have it and will submit letters for approval 1/2/24 when the insurance starts. Sadly it could take two months but Im hoping sooner so I can get scheduled for Orchiectomy and scrotum removal at the same time, sounds like they will leave enough in case I chose vulvoplasty if not Ill want the remaining skin removed so its flat. Cant believe this is happing but very glad it is.
I don't know how your surgeon will do things, but mine didn't leave enough scrotum to do much of anything else with it... (they might get some of what they need by skinning the penis, but I'm not sure that would be enough... I'd suggest having a very detailed conversation with your surgeon about whether or not you will want vulvoplasty and if so, how much scrotum he needs to leave... Remember that they can't glue it back on...
My personal recommendation as a wheeler is that you really want to keep as much of the male pissing configuration as possible, as female configuration is much harder to deal with....
Glad to hear you are getting the insurance stuff worked out. It might be worth talking to your surgeon about scheduling a tentative date now, so you can get done as soon as the insurance clears it. (and having a pending date might get the insurance people to move faster...)
