I was was on a double dose of Androgel for low Testosterone levels, but I stop because the gel were messy and ruined my shirts. My endocrinologist wouldn't give me injections or pellets. Being on Testosterone HRT only to increased my gender dysmorphia.
I rather live with low Testosterone levels and feel like I'm already a eunuch, than use HRT and still feel like I'm a eunuch.

You might try asking your endocrinologist about trying different formulations of T-gel other than Androgel... Back when I was doing T, I was initially on Androgel, and the pharmacy switched me to a different brand, which I found I liked better... To me the Androgel left me feeling 'slimy' in that area, which the other brand didn't. I think there are also other brands that have a higher concentration of T per 'pump' so you don't need to use as much....
Of course if having the T makes your disphoria worse, that is also a good reason not to use it, but if you aren't doing some sort of hormones, keep a close eye on your bone health, by getting scans as often as your insurance will let you... It might also be worth considering if you would want to switch to E... (Your handle suggests this might be a desirable step for other reasons?)

I have never gone over 450
I have issues with high hematocrit and that leads to high feritin eventually.
I did completely stop TRT for about 18months. The hormonal fat effect was massive and I am still paying for it now. If I had not had my blood tested and the CT of my liver I was 6 months from liver cancer/ failure.
I suggest you avoid chasing T numbers and look at over all health especially liver health as TRT can be hard on the liver.
I’m currently on 0.5ml of 200mg/ml. I want to lower it to a level that maintains general health, without any libido.
