Penectomy with sensitivity preservation
I have thought about nullification for many years. For a variety of health related reasons I have decided on a penectomy and urethral reroute without having my testicles removed. I have met with a urologist willing to perform the penectomy and a urethral reroute, my desired end result. One possibility we discussed is preserving sensate distal penile tissue - essentially a hidden clitoris under the skin. This in theory enables sexual stimulation. My urologist is doubtful of this being effective, says it would complicate the surgery, would require another surgeon and add considerable expense not covered by insurance.
Is there anyone who can provide information or insight into their experience with a penectomy either with or without preserving this nerve tissue?

Thank you for the reply. I’ve read that article several times since it was originally published. I have a therapist and have discussed all of the points made in the article with them. I think a key difference between the author and me is I have real dysphoria and they didn’t. Their penectomy was the result of cancer.

Please also pay attention to the author of the 14th post in this thread.
He didn't have cancer.

Re: Penectomy with sensitivity preservation
There was also a long thread that appears to have vanished as part of the missing penectomy forums glitch - as discussed here
(I haven't tried, but is this something that could be reached via the wayback machine?)
Welcome to the forums at any rate...

31685-Penectomy-and-Transgender-forums-gone hopefully it can be recovered (soon) as the primary poster (ncbill71) in the thread sounds like he has done much of what you are talking about... As you could guess from the forum title, it had a lot of other discussions that would have been relevant...

Thank you! It is looking like I have several months before I am likely going to have surgery. My doctor is going to confer with a colleague and see what options there are.

Good luck, and possibly be open to the possibility of looking for a different doc if the current one doesn't seem able to do what you want.... I am totally not looking at the typical penectomy + reroute option as it wouldn't work with me being in a chair (and not at all sure I would consider it if I weren't for other reasons) so haven't looked at the options in depth, but I recall a fairly large number doing some variation on preserving sensation, and mostly being happy with the outcome. Unfortunately for you, I suspect many would have been in that area which has gone missing...

Re: Penectomy with sensitivity preservation
I'm a complete nullo but I have sensate penile tissue left that still gets erect, I use a "tens unit" Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) to reach orgasm. They're cheap and work well. My total penectomy removed 95% of my penis but I still have approximately 2 1/2 inches left which include the root crura and bulb. My urologist cut my penis off right at the pubic bone. I have a urethrostomy (reroute) so I pee sitting down. Ask your urologist if he can leave most of the penis dorsal nerve intact. That's really what you need to have sexual sensation. Good luck to you.

Re: Penectomy with sensitivity preservation
I'm not sure what it is with 2023 and everyone wanting to know about sensitivity preservation when getting a penectomy. It just seems like it's one more thing everyone wants to be wound up about.
Let me give a reality check here. When I had my dick taken off, no efforts were discussed or made to ensure preservation of sensation or of nerve endings, etc. I can enjoy my body and have orgasms just fine, thank you very much.
While nothing is guaranteed, it's incredibly unlikely any of you contemplating having your dicks taken off are going to have any issue with this at all. Seriously, all this handwringing over this subject is just that. You're going to be fine, any discussion with your doctor about this is personal choice, because unless you're the one case out of a thousand (or more), you're not going to have a problem getting off after your penectomy.
