Finally Figuring Myself Out

Post by curiouscat1983 (imported) »

Hi all-

I’m S. Like many here, I suppose, I’ve had an account here for what feels like ages, but I’m finally ready to do something about the way I’ve been feeling for so long. Looking back, I think I’ve always had some struggle with my gender - one of my early memories is a sort of daydream I would have as I was falling asleep, probably in middle school… I would imagine I was part of a science experiment. I was in an empty, bank room with a dial on it, which I could turn at my pleasure. As I turned it, I would become more feminine or masculine. I always brought it somewhere in the middle, enjoying the feeling of being in-between. It felt wonderful!

For the longest time, I didn’t have any language for what I was feeling - much less the courage to pursue it. But I’m finally taking the plunge, and will be starting therapy soon. My goal is to get on hormones, and hopefully then pursue an orchiectomy/scrotectomy. It feels so right to be taking this step now, and I can’t wait to to embrace the self I truly feel inside!

I take it you are planning to present as female? If you don't mind me asking, and feel free to tell me to piss off if you do, why not go for vaginoplasty instead of nullification?

Best of luck on your journey!

Welcome to the zoo. You'll find a lot of helpful folks here.

Never mind the post counts; they're all wrong.

Sorry if my post wasn’t as clear as it could have been, but I’m not sure how you got to me wanting to present as female full time, but no worries. Although I am a crossdresser, I identify as non-binary, not trans. I prefer being “in the middle” and would (tentatively, after doing some work with a therapist!) like to modify my genitals accordingly. I don’t have any desire to have a vagina, so no need to keep the scrotum, as far as I can see.

You are welcome... I try to help when I can, but am the first to admit that I don't have all the answers...

If you have less "amateurish" questions, feel free to ask them! They would surely be more welcome than dumping criticism on someone else's inquiries and efforts to help...
