Hi folks,
Can some members give me their reasons and the benefits for getting their scrotum removed during or after their castration? I have been considering getting one for some time now, even as my scrotum has shrunk considerably.
For me, as a heterosexual eunuch, I just believe that not having one is more attractive. Also, as the penis atrophies over the years and shrinks into the empty scrotum, the removal of the excess skin seems to allow one to urinate better by not having to sit to control urine spray and avoids trapping any remaining urine in the penis under the folds of the scrotums skin to leak out.
Im also curious why a number of eunuchs have their scrotums removed at the same time as their testicles. It seems to me that one should first recover from the orchiectomy before going on to a more complicated scrotumectomy. Why is there a need for some it have it done at the same time?

Basically I was trying to get better access to my penis, and avoid some of the leakage trapping problems I was having, plus greater comfort... It seemed like the scrotum was actually a bigger part of all the issues than my balls were... My penis never was big when not erect, and since my injury had shrunk to the point where it was more internal than not... (I envied most 10yr olds...
While I think I've had fantasies about various forms of castration / genital mods for as long as I can remember, I don't know that I would have had as much of a desire to actually seek surgery to get rid of them if I hadn't gotten hurt, as they were fun to play with (either alone, or w/ GF....
From reading the various threads here, it seemed that while the folks doing a simple orchie only were getting some shrinkage, they still had enough of a flap left to still have the same issues, so just getting rid of the balls seemed like it really wouldn't have addressed my issues. It also seemed to me like it made sense to do both surgeries at the same time simply so that I'd only have to recover once....
There is also the insurance issue - at least some have said that they were able to get insurance for either just the orchie, or both at the same time, but that if they did the orchie alone, their insurance wanted to treat the later scrotectomy as 'cosmetic surgery' and not cover it...
In retrospect it has turned out that the scrotectomy has been a much bigger deal, and is taking much longer to recover from than I expected, while I can't say I noticed the orchiectomy at all as a separate issue.... However I'm still glad I did it this way, as I am already seeing most of the benefits I expected, and it doesn't seem like having the surgeries separately would have reduced the recovery time any....
I was more than a little surprised at how MUCH the surgeon took off, especially how far towards my anus he went... If I had known he wanted to go that far, I might have had him not take as much.... This is likely because of what most

Thanks for your response.
From what I’ve seen through photos of various eunuchs who had their scrotum removed, the surgical scar extends from the bottom part of the penis all the way to below the anus. Once the scar heals it becomes almost unnoticeable.

I'd guess my incision is about like that, it stops perhaps an inch short... I definitely hope the scar heals the way you describe, I'm not all that worried about appearances given that my legally blind GF is the only non-medical person likely to see it

Re: Reasons for scrotectomy
I liked the fact my doctor was able to do both at the same time. I didn't see the need for an empty bag of skin hanging below my penis. When it came to planning the surgery, the hardest thing for me was having to factor in the recovery time. I am fairly active and being told not to do anything strenuous was difficult. I couldn't imagine having to have two recovery periods. I was tempted to skip the scrotumectomy to be able to ride my bike sooner, but wanted the full procedure done.
