Date of Surgery Booked In

Post by eunuch52 (imported) »

Have just left my urologist’s rooms with a ‘C’ date of next Thursday, 5th October. I was so happy and relieved I was shaking. An inligual bilateral orchiectomy. We discussed removing the scrotum at the same time but he insisted that he usually does it separately, so I will gat it done in a couple of months.

I have decided, with his approval, that I will not have HRT. As a committed and existential eunuch, I want to experience the full joy ( or suffering) of the decision I have made with any hedonistic tendencies. I understand it will a confronting time but I feel I should be true to my desire to become a eunuch.

Congratulations - hope all the surgery goes well and that being hormone free works out for you. (Do keep an eye on your bone health though, get regular scans)

Thank you, very excited. I saw my regular GP an hour after the urologist and he was very supportive. He spent half an hour going through what to expect and if I have problems they are only a phone call away. He even gave me his private mobile number in case it’s a weekend. He also suggested having a bone density test to establish a base line. I have one booked for 12th October. Knowing both my doctors were happy and supportive of my decision was very reassuring, knowing I made the right choice. Now I just have to control my emotions for another week.

Congratulations on your pending orchiectomy! You’ll be amazed how fast the days seem to pass leading up to that time. Like you, a feeling of euphoria come over me when leaving my urologist’s office after she had told that she “would take them out” and the date was set.

Mine was done inguinally. Except for some bruising from her having to tug them out through my inguinal canals, I healed very quickly and was driving the day after my surgery. Good luck with your healing!

Congratulations, mine was planned as inguinal, but ended up as a simple bilateral orchiectomy. Before surgery my T level was already at castrate level, and I went one month after surgery without TRT. In the end when I was approved TRT I took it without hesitation. Hot flashes was bad, but the insomnia meant I only slept max 2 hours in one go, and woke up numerous times during the night. Getting through a work day was a constant battle due being overly tired all the time.

I hope you manage without TRT, as I didn’t. Also get a bone scan ASAP, and monitor bone density at regular intervals. I heard osteoporosis tend to creep up on you slowly.

But I guess you know that already, the negatives about being castrated and going without hormones.
