First weekly update

My slightly enlarged prostate responded after just 2 days with improved urine flow and I usually sleep through the night. My blood pressure is also slightly elevated, but nothing earth-shattering. It seems to me that I shiver a little quicker. I didn't notice any nighttime erections, which is definitely desirable. So far everything is in the “green zone”. Otherwise it’s a case of “wait and see and drink tea”.

Erstes Wochen-Update

Meine leicht vergrößerte Prostata reagierte schon nach 2 Tagen mit verbessertem Urinfluß und nachts schlafe ich zumeist durch. Auch mein Blutdruck ist leicht erhöht, aber nichts weltbewegendes. Mir scheint, dass ich etwas schneller fröstele. Nächtliche Erektionen habe ich keine bemerkt, was durchaus erwünscht ist. Bisher also alles im „grünen Bereich“. Ansonsten heißt es „abwarten und Tee trinken“.

Sounds good, not surprised the prostate is improving as my recollection is that finasteride is one of the drugs that is often prescribed for prostate problems (often w/ loss of other function seen as a regrettable side effect, but in this case a good thing...)

Second weekly update

My blood pressure has reduced slightly again, no erections so far and the drive is slowly decreasing. I feel relieved and my interactions with women in general are becoming more and more relaxed. I'm on the right path and I can continue like this.

Zweites Wochen-Update

Mein Blutdruck hat sich wieder etwas reduziert, bisher keine Erektionen und der Trieb wird langsam weniger. Ich fühle mich erleichtert und mein Umgang mit Frauen allgemein wird immer entspannter. Ich bin auf dem richtigen Weg und so kann es weitergehen.

Four week update

No erections so far, not even trying. The urge is slowly becoming less and less and that feels really good and liberating.

Vier-Wochen-Update

Bisher keinerlei Erektionen, nicht mal der Versuch. Der Trieb wird langsam immer weniger und das fühlt sich richtig gut und befreiend an.

Finasteride 5 mg is definitely a good method of becoming impotent. It is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor, which has the advantage of preventing the loss of scalp hair. However, care should be taken to avoid swelling in the breasts (see side effects).

Unlike me, Castor read the castration law correctly and drew the right conclusions from it. After reading the law again, I came to the same conclusion and will probably go down that path. However, I don't know whether that also applies to "nullification".

Im Gegensatz zu mir hat Castor das Kastrationsgesetz richtig gelesen und auch die richtigen Schlüsse daraus gezogen. Nachdem ich das Gesetz noch einmal genau durchgelesen hatte, kam ich zu dem gleichen Schluss und werde wohl diesen Weg gehen. Allerdings weiß ich nicht ob das auch für „Nullification“ gilt.

I can only warn against Finasteride. It does have the effect of making you impotent, which may be desirable if you have a high sex drive and is a kind of test run for your surgical castration. It is also known to protect against harmless prostate cancer. Thanks for the link, very interesting. I use finasteride primarily because of an enlarged prostate and only secondarily, as an additional effect, to suppress libido. Since yesterday I have also been taking Androcur 12.5 mg once a day. The dose is deliberately low to make it easier for the body to cope with the change. As soon as the Androcur has sufficient effect, the finasteride should be discontinued. The whole thing is a "tolerance test" before an orchiectomy is considered.

Danke für den Link, sehr interessant. Bei mir wird Finasterid in erster Linie wegen einer Prostata-Vergrößerung eingesetzt und erst in zweiter Linie, sozusagen als zusätzliche Wirkung, zur Libido Dämpfung. Seit gestern nehme ich auch Androcur 12,5 mg einmal am Tag ein. Die Dosis ist bewußt niedrig gewählt um es dem Körper leichter zu machen mit der Veränderung klar zu kommen. Sobald das Androcur genügend Wirkung zeigt soll das Finasterid abgesetzt werden. Das Ganze dient einem "Test auf Verträglichkeit" bevor eine Orchiektomie in Frage kommt.
