Now it gets interesting about Dr. Francisco Delgado Guerrero. His latest YouTube posting is a very confidently performed Vaginoplasty.

Cirugía transgénero, Vaginoplastia con inversión de prepucio

Transgender surgery, Vaginoplasty with inversion of the foreskin

But he does not mention his transgender specialty on his website. Maybe there is another website or he moving toward a new specialty that will generate the need for a second website.

Not sure if it's the same doctor, but as a mostly academic interest - going the other direction:

IMHO The end result is not as impressive / convincing, but as they always say, it is easier to build a hole than a pole....

I watched the video and noticed a few things. First, he ligated the vas deferens and the spermatic cord separately. There's another doctor whose videos I've seen and he highly promotes this method as the occurrence of hematoma is drastically reduced.

Second, I noticed his stitching technique when closing the skin. He does a pass both directions so the knot is off to the side of the incision rather than over it. If I had to guess, this is for minimal scarring and may actually reduce irritation. Honestly, I've never seen that technique before so I'm truly just guessing.

My testicles were retracted and shrinking from TRT. It felt like I was castrated before I got castrated. So, I got implants.

I had a terrible hematoma and had multiple surgeries to get my testicle implants to hang correctly. That was a side effect of the hematoma. The tunica (tendon-like tissue holding the testicle) filled up like a balloon. That tissue attached itself to the scar to drain. It made it hard for a doctor to get the implant into the correct spot to look natural. After that, it took several attempts to get the implant to stay inside the scrotum. Finally, the doctor I worked with in Guadalajara did a fantastic job fixing me up, and he works with Eurosilicone implants made in Europe that feel real (compared to the ones offered in the USA).

Based on YouTube videos, I know the Guadalajara doctor also uses this same method for castration. I had an epidural in my back, and I could not move my lower body for a few hours. They gave me something else that relaxed me during this time. When it was time to wake up, I had to first hold on to the bed railing to stand up (to ensure my legs were stable).

The point of mentioning all this is that I wish I had the castration procedure and the implants done by this Guadalajar doctor (instead of in the USA). He did not poke my cord with a needle for a local. The epidural took care of that. I think I think a needle puncture caused my hematoma. Plus, pulling the cord and artery far out (and tying it off low) further probably reduces the hematoma risk. The implants are cohesive gel-filled implants (made like new breast implants) and feel real (compared to saline-filled versions made in the USA). The price is reasonable. The hospital was modern and nice.

At the time of my castration, I never would have considered Guadalajara (or cities like Mexico City, Tijuana, Puerto Vallarta, or Monterrey). I did not think these places were safe. They are not like border towns. Now, these cities seem safer (to me) than US cities like Chicago, Dallas, and San Francisco. I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas and thought I would be mugged walking from the light rail stop near the hotel. It still freaks me out because someone was shot and killed on the same subway line a month later on a Sunday afternoon.

I would have done better with the care in Mexico, but I thought it was unsafe. Now, I know better. If you go, you should stay in the country for at least seven days to rest and be near your doctor until the risk of infection is over. There are some excellent urologists in Mexico. With information like this, I could have made a better decision to pick a doctor.
