I had my orchiectomy today.
Today I'm officially a eunuch. I was supposed to get a radical bilateral orchiectomy and my doctor thankfully changed course and did a very neat job on the scrotal version. He did the incision at the very back of the midline ridge on my scrotum so won't see the scar at all. I'm a little swollen and the pain isn't bad. I could go without pain pills but I chose to be comfortable instead. I'm also 8 days in on 1mg of estradiol valerate in place of TRT. I'm giving it a test drive to see what happens.

Thank you for those kind words. I've been wanting to be castrated for a long time. It's almost hard to believe that they are gone but they are. I'm waiting for the swelling to go down there and touch my empty sac for the first time. You left one thing out when you mentioned peace and calm, and that's comfort. It's great not having those things between my legs, I never liked having them down there.

Thanks Valery V, and I love my get well balloons. The bruising just started showing up. I've got purple bruising where the scrotum attaches to the base of my penis. I might have some towards the back where the incision is as well. Hopefully it doesn't get too bad. I've seen bruising on people's thighs to the point where it looks like there was a struggle involved.

Congratulations and good luck. Be extra careful for a few weeks. If you feel like you're getting jock itch, be extra cautious. Anti-fungal sprays and fresh incisions can be a problem.
