Do eunuchs fall in love?

The ones with T levels lower than 50ng/dL.

If I compare the feelings I had, when it first happened in my life when I was young and now during one of my chemcastration trials, I can say that attraction to person I was in love with was noticeably reduced. I did think much less of her while my T was low. But when she was around, I enjoyed her presence in a different way. I did not feel that T fueĺed "desire".

I fell in love before my T went down, so my question is wether someone had fallen in love while having low T?

What is your experience?

Valery_V makes a good point. I loved my granny but was definitely not sexually attracted to her. Love comes in many forms.

I do not mean just sexual attraction. Intact men usually react more or less to anyone who is sexually attractive enough for them.

To fall in love is different thing. If you can remember. Like you start to notice that single one among others, you develope desire to be near him or her. You think about him or her night and day. Not just sex or genitals.

Love for your grandma is much different, as you do not think about your grandma night and day and do not consider to have sex with her.

Having helped raise 5 boys, plus my almost-stepson before them, I can assure you that even prepubescent boys can fall in love. I don't think T. levels or presence of testicles has anything to do with romantic love.

The problems don't start until puberty kicks in!

I think sexual attraction and love are very different through the ages of an individual. Fondamentaly they are somehow different but in certain way mingled at teen ages and more differentiated as ages increases. To a point where sexuality sometimes disappears and love remains. This latter situations have been seen in numerous older members of the EA still having romantic feeling for their partner after castration. I supposed it is the same human behavior as seen in complete man still in good relation with their partner when let say they are nearly the 90ths with no more sex and still fulfilled with tenderness.

For the earlier question I suppose that it could be possible for a castrated man to fall in love but then the feeling could be driven, may be, only by the quality and the "admiration" that the person could have for the other. I suppose also that this would imply a high lever of maturity.

For myself I can say that years without sex with my partner doesn't destroy the love and care I have for her. Also when I was working I was with very nice female colleagues for which I felt genuine love without (or very very small) sexual attraction. I supposed I'm more a romantic kind fo guy than sexual.

Reminds me of a discussion among coworkers that were parents at a former job about whether it was easier to bring up boys or girls... One of the best comments was that boys were better because when they became teens you had to worry about ONE little prick, but with daughters you had to worry about ALL of them....

I have never been interested in dating or relationships. I didn't date in high school, went to a college with two males for every female, and didn't date after college. It took me 50 years to become a eunuch and doubt I will suddenly get into a relationship.
