Re: What does it feel like
Hello Daniel01, I am coming up on 1 year without balls and I can honestly say I love it. My testicles quit working about 10 years ago, probably from high stress. My doctor put me on Androgel which was an incredible improvement in my overall well-being. Over the last 9 years my testicles atrophied and spent most of the time in my groin. Last April I had a doctor in Atlanta remove them and my scrotum. What an incredible feeling; I am smooth under my cock and love the look and feel. I have an active sex life and enjoy being castrated. My wife loves it as well. The area where my balls were is highly erogenous, I love to feel the area while masturbating or having sex. For me it is a turn on to know I don't have balls anymore.

24 days and counting down…I really appreciate all of your comments….I can’t say I am not nervous …it is surgery…but hearing everyone’s reassurance that l’ll feel much with out them is the much needed emotional support I need. I have taken the stomach muscle pulling issue to heart and have focused on exactly how much they pull on them with some basic moves…like getting out of bed. The doctor did say if I were to over do it, I could get a large amount of fluid in the scrotum sack. Nothing to worry about other than the discomfort. Yeah right !

Re: What does it feel like
I underwent bilateral Orchiectomy on the 21st of March. It was planned as radical / inguinal operation, but ended up as a simple Orchiectomy meaning they took my testicles out through my scrotum.
I’m on my second day, since surgery, and doing ok, taking ordinary painkillers which are sufficient to keep discomfort at bay.
In regard to coming out of bed, it’s not too hard, I’m stiffening up in my body, and sort of swing the legs out and let the torso follow, so I’m not straining on or using my stomach muscles. Besides that I’m doing as little as possible, laying down watching TV, reading and in general being bored. But hey, it’s only for a brief period so it’s bearable.

Re: What does it feel like
Daniel01, I was nervous (anxious) as well, I think that is perfectly normal. After all you are removing part of your body. For me making the decision to have my balls removed was relatively simple after I was convinced that my sex life would not be affected as long as I continued with my TRT. That assurance came from others here on EU that had the procedure already. I did have a struggle with whether or not to have my scrotum removed at the same time. A simple castration without scrotum removal has a quicker recovery time and less risk of complications. However, I was fairly certain that I would want the scrotum removed at a later date. For me, my desire to be castrated was rooted in my desire to be rid of the atrophied testicles which were riding up into my groin. My scrotum was small as well, but there was enough loose skin that it would stick to my thighs and cause sweaty rashes from time to time in the summer months. If I had a fantasy about the act of castration itself, I would not have gone through with it since it is a onetime event and could not be repeated. I did have a fantasy (or at least it turned me on) to visualize being smooth under my cock which can be repeated as often as I want. I finally made my mind up to go ahead and have the scrotum removed after talking to my doctor about the risks and cost of a second operation at a later date. He said follow my instructions and you should be okay. I need to make the point that I used a cosmetic surgeon and not a urologist. Urologist can do castrations, but some are not that good at cosmetic surgeries. My surgeon removed not only the scrotum but my scrotal web that went up my penis about an inch and half. The recovery time for castration and scrotal removal is two to three weeks longer but in my opinion well worth it to have the entire process over and done with, instead of another surgery later on. As to how it feels, after about 3 months I cannot feel the stumps of the cords anymore, the inguinal opening has totally disappeared, so I feel nothing but my penis where my balls and scrotum used to be. I never miss my balls and hardly ever think of them unless it is when I am masturbating or having sex and then it is a turn on to know I am a eunuch. For me it was good riddance, I don't miss them at all.

Re: What does it feel like
Question for those whos testicles which were very receded into the scrodum. Which mine are. My doctor is going to make two slits one on each side really far up. He showed me with his finger…But tops both of my testicles are really far up. Were your incisions still at in the upper side of the scrotum or did he have to come slight higher with the incision, almost at the base of the penis? What was it l8ke walk8ng soon after the surgery?

Re: What does it feel like
My incision was pretty high up, but not, like, distressingly close to the base of my penis. You have to remember that whole area is very elastic. The doctor will be able to move stuff where they need it.
Walking is easy. For me, there was a slight soreness, ironically it felt like the after-pain of being kicked in the nuts, and occasionally I could feel the suture kind of tug and pinch. By the end of the first week even that was gone. I would avoid jogging for the first month, but I avoid jogging for literally any reason (badum-tish!)
My urologist joked that it's a minor surgery, except for emotionally. They don't even give you the fun pain meds afterwards. You have nothing to worry about.

Re: What does it feel like
Not having testicles feels wonderful. I really enjoy the feeling of having nothing down there except my penis. I hardly ever have to adjust things, my briefs fit so much better, never have issues of pain from them, and it feels great during sex. Its a very sensitive area that my boyfriend loves feeling.

Re: What does it feel like
May of 2022 Bilateral Inguinal orchiectomy was finally performed. This was the end of a very long road of many No answers, all had their excuses Just because youre in pain doesn't mean you need any medial help. (According to some folks with the Dr. Title)
After reading some experiences on line and this site included I was not convinced that removal of ones testicles could be such a big deal however I was wrong and should have listened to those personal testimonies.
I didnt feel much like walking at all. Although I did ease back into my routine cautiously as I didnt want to risk breaking any stiches. I was anxious for scrotal swelling to subside but that seemed to take all summer. Although its nearly a full year later, a wrinkly, empty scrotum remains and its slightly annoying when the weather is warm. Any perspiration makes it wet and jock strap. This is more comfortable than just letting the empty sack hang down.
Seems like it may require another years long struggle with the medical establishment to get that removed however I want to stress that the remaining empty sack is only slightly annoying. Other than working conditions that may cause your empty scrotum to sweat, there is a remarkable comfort in no longer having sensitive testicles between my legs.
Both testicles were painful and, although not cancerous, did have unusual growth spots that were benign. It took two years of searching and many specialists to finally find a surgeon that agreed to perform radical bilateral orchiectomy.
As many others have stated and I completely agree you wont miss them or erections. I can speak to the relief from an very strong sex drive and embarrassing erections even into old age. Those are no more and again I cant overemphasize the calm and peace that surpasses all understanding that comes with castration. For me it took about 4 months to fully realize the benefits and not have any thoughts of even attempting an erection.
October 2022 5 months after surgery, my total testosterone measured 6 ng/dl. For perspective a normal range is 250 1100 ng/dl. Please note that this was a total testosterone measurement and not a Free testosterone measurement which is different.
The last swelling or feeling in my empty scrotum to finally disappear completely was a slight swelling on one side. Both the surgeon and urologist felt around and assured me that what is there is only swollen tissue and that within the next few months it was likely to disappear completely and it did. I remember checking it almost every day and finally every other week or two And, just like they said it was finally gone. There are no stumps or cord ends to be found.
In summary I dont miss my testicles or my erections and the wife is very happy to cuddle with me, she even pinches my nipples just to tease me and she doesnt have to worry about me getting hard and wanting sex. Like me, she wasnt sure at first and would check for a hard on and over time she stopped worrying about it too. Now were both comfortable and confident that we can get as close and intimate as we want without a hard on coming between us. You can read that both ways .
Thank you.

Re: What does it feel like
Wow. Thank you for your input…..sorry you had to wait so long to find a willing doctor. I wonder with transgender bottom surgery coming out of the closet if more surgeons are willing to perform orchiectomies. In my case my GP diagnosed my low energy on low testosterone and referred me to a surgical urologist. Both concluded almost instantly that they weren’t working and because of the major constant discomfort gave me the option to have them removed. It was a beautiful day when it was his idea.
