What nullos and penectomized men may think when you ask them about reroutes...

Post by Losethem (imported) »

The look on Rudolph's face says it all here. (https://www.reddit.com/r/furry_irl/comm ... furry_irl/)

This is how I look at folks who ask nullified me if I've had a urethral reroute.

Questions which also receive this look:

Did it hurt?

Are you a girl/a female/wanting to be a woman?

Can you have sex?

The list goes on...

The nurse, with some reproach, said to me when she was bandaging me:

"How can you prick a woman now?"

(She was not at all interested in the question of redirecting my urethra :)

These are the questions that I have always wanted to ask, have asked and also always wanted to get more detailed answers!

Of course, I would like to continue the list of questions!

However, I'm afraid of getting out of favor with the boss, so I try to restrain my curiosity and shut up in time :).

I find the question about a nullo having a urethral reroute the most annoying of all of them. It's like the person asking didn't even try to think about what they were asking or saying.

In an intact male, the urine exits through the opening in the end of their penis. I no longer have a penis.

The question answers itself. 😄

Well, there are some penectomized men that haven't had a reroute. It must be hell every time they pee!

I am not an expert, but as it seems to me:

it is impossible to remove genitals, without having done redirection of an urethra.

Otherwise you should urinate on the legs or instead of a squirt there will be an urine spraying.

Though even in any opportunity it is necessary to use a napkin...

(In the presence at you everything is much simpler than a penis :).

I have had some experience with this topic as I explored becoming a nullo. Sadly because of other health issues I was only able to be castrated. What I found was: yes a reroute is a preferred method and is pretty major surgery, however there are cases (penile cancer, accidents) where it is possible that the penis was removed and urethra was left in place as penis was only cut at surface and interior was left in place. Urination was by A. the permanent use of catheter or on the, to me, the messier use of a female urinal. And I agree with you guys it is really nobody else's business how one pees.

I'd say even in those cases where the penis was just straight up amputated, with a catheter inserted into the remaining opening, that it would count as a reroute.

Any point in a male body where from urine and semen are expelled that is not the urinary meatus present at the top of the penis, would count as a urethral reroute. Obviously exceptions exist for congenital abnormalities of the penis, but 99.9% of males expel their urine and semen from that point, so anything else would count as a reroute. This would include those who have subinicisions, glansectomies, or meatotomies. Strangely, the only exception I can see to this would be FtM individuals who have phalloplasty and have a glans constructed with a urinary opening, where that more intact male situation would count as their having a reroute.

The point I'm making is once the natural opening is changed, it's a reroute. It's not that hard to figure out, as the question is easily answered without asking.

Seems like a difference in definitions... LT is defining any change in anatomy that results in a non-original-equipment exit as a reroute, which is certainly correct from a strictly technical standpoint....

However my impression from all that I've seen posted here is that most folks seem to regard a reroute as a separate / distinct procedure to create an exit point (usually approximating a female location) OTHER than the one that would result from whatever other alterations to the factory equipment were made...

I am not going to argue the point, but to me the second definition is more useful in some ways.
