Starting on Zoloft

My doctor prescribed me Zoloft, only 25 mg, for my depression. As I resisted getting on SSRI, doctor suggested trying a low dose to see how I feel.

I started taking it Dec 1.

As a chemical eunuch with very much shriveled genitalia (see my previous posts, both under this username and hkeunuch since 2003 or so), I am surprised that the penis has already gotten noticeably smaller in the resting state.

It is basically fully tucked inside my body most of the time. Even when going to bathroom, I can hardly dig it out. I feel a definite sense of tightness/soreness in my shaft, which I can't find any explanation for. But I definitely enjoy it tight and small.

In the morning, I tried playing with it once. It did not stir one bit, and soon I just lost interest.

Last evening, I took viagra and was able to get an erection and eventually cum with the help of my bf.

Wondering if this shrinkage can be permanent over time, which I would love.

Will report back when there is any new development. So far, so good.

I take Zoloft (2 100mg pills) and they do nothing genital wise for me. I think that's one of those "your mileage may vary" kinda things.

Was put on sertraline 50mg for depression. At the six week checkup I told the doc that nothing worked sexually and that it was making me more depressed. The dose was cut to 25mg, life got better. I have to work at staying present during sex or I'll take forever to reach climax, although my partner enjoys the staying power it can get tiring at some point.

Wow! That's a heavy dose. I'll see if I can tolerate that dosage if and when the doctor increases mine. He did say he wanted to work it up to 200 mg eventually.

So far, other than my genitals all but disappeared inside my body, I think it is still functioning at my usual dosage of Viagra. But I have only had Zoloft for a week.

I have heavy-duty depression (and a form of Autism), but my meds don't affect me in the genital department. I think that's just me, though.

25 mg of Zoloft is baby dosage. I take far more than that each.. But that is what I have to do. If anyone only knew.. All a secret.. But my genitals are so small you almost can't find them. Erections almost never happen.

I agree, 25mg of Zoloft is an extremely small dose, and should only be used as a dose tolerance trial. Depression post castration is a very real possibility and should not be ignored; it can get extreme, although most don't experience severe depression, but some experience with depression is quite common. 200 mg doses are quite high, and should be tried only under strict medical supervision.

Just an update. With the increased dosage of 50 mg, my depression feels a lot lighter, in part, perhaps, because my life has improved and become more hopeful.

For the past 2 weeks, I have had sex with my partner several times. While I would have enjoyed an orgasm, I could not reach one.

However, I don't feel much real need of an orgasm. I guess my libido has dropped as well.
