Have joined the archive for help. I am in my late 40s and am a sex addict, which is destroying my life, my marriage and my family. Over the last five years I have been to doctors, therapists and psychologists, seeking help to my addiction. I have thought about castration as a cure for years but professionals dont want to discuss it or dance around the subject, saying we will try this or try that but at the end of the day, nothing has worked.
I have finally decided that I want to be castrated, I need to be castrated but I want it done properly, surgically scrivener as well, by a doctor. How do I find a doctor to do this for me?

Re: Help to find a doctor
Some will depend on whether you want to do it in country, possibly w/ your insurance, or do 'medical tourism' and pay out of pocket... There are reportedly good docs / centers in Mexico and Thailand particularly if going that way, and you will find minimal hoops to jump through.
To do it through insurance is generally going to involve working with a transgender center, as they are the specialists in any sort of gender modification, including castration. Fortunately, WPATH, the professional association that sets the standards for TG centers has recently released a new "Standards of Care", SOC v8, that now includes specific guidance for people looking for a 'Male to Eunuch' transition. I STRONGLY advise getting a copy (a free download from the WPATH website) and reading it thoroughly, especially the eunuch and non-binary chapters. You also need to get a very good understanding of all the effects of getting castrated, with especial emphasis on the medical risks, complications, and so on.
You will probably have to jump through some hoops to get to your goal, starting with convincing the doctors at the TG center that you are aware of all the consequences and can give fully informed consent, and that you meet their criteria for 'gender dysphoria' or desire. Knowing whats in the SOC will give you an idea about the sorts of things they are looking for and what to tell the doc. Also since the SOC v8 is new, reportedly not all centers are up on it, so you may need to be able to point out how you qualify under it...
They will also probably require you to do a 'test drive' of at least 6-12 months of chemical castration (at least reversible in theory) before the non-reversible surgery...
Good luck on the journey, hope we can help with any questions.

Re: Help to find a doctor
Heya, couple questions if you don't mind. Do you currently take hormones? Do you plan on going on hormones after you are castrated? Would you consider going on t-blockers to lower your testosterone?
The things you are wanting do not just come from the gonads, but they come from hormones. May be an option with your primary care physician that would let you experience being at castrate level testosterone. Not discounting your experiences. Sometimes it takes steps with your doctors.

Indeed it’s not so easy. Important, that you clear all with the doctor. If you are castrated, it is necessary to take regularly blockers to reduce testosterone. I think Androcur is very good. Of course step by step is not a mistake. To check the testosterone level must be. If there is the level to high, you must enlarge the amount of blockers. I am very pro minded. But it’s very hard to have seriously discussion and starting a relationship. Maybe someone is interested in all.

Look up PLUME. They are an online medical practice that will prescribe antiandrogens. They are based in the US, and are able to practice in most states. If you would like more info please feel free to message me, or just check out their website. Good luck.

He's trying to lower sex drive not suppress cancer. Very unlikely that he will need to take any sort of blocker if he is castrated. He may very well need to take a low dose of T for health.
