TV fabric softener commercial

Post by Cseriess (imported) »

I just had to smile at a TV commercial for downy fabric softener. A man on a blind date has a baggy misshapen T-Shirt. The voiceover says " when your V neck looks like a U neck use downy" . Well i found it amusing.

There are some good commercials out there. I've yet to see this one.

I cringe at the Big Pharma ads, though. Side effects, even death have been reported... I think I'll risk it with whatever is wrong with me!

I'm sick to death of that Chewy dot com ad, though. Well, both of them. They've pretty much guaranteed that I'll never shop with them.

I just love how some services like Tubi cut their ads in. Before they dropped all the Star Trek shows, it went something like this:

Picard: "Number one, tell me-"

Ad cuts: "Do you suffer from painful hemorrhoids?"

The singing Pepto Bismol ads are funny, too.

It would be nice to have a bit more variety, though. The same ads over and over do get old.

I don't understand why you think the advertising business is horrible?

From the outside it all looks pretty funny :)

I remember a few indigestion relief products that had slogans that worked even better as restroom graffiti...

"Plop, plop, fizz, fizz... Oh what a relief it is...."

"I can't believe I ate the whole thing..."

etc...

Of course now that I avoid watching TV if at all possible, and run multiple add-blockers online, I miss all the good commercial memes. Considering how many bad ones there are, I figure it's a worthwhile sacrifice...

In my opinion, all this (including the restaurant business) is good for society, looks great and is very nice.
