Congrats! I got mine removed back in 2018 and it was such a relief to finally get rid of them. Hope you are doing OK with your recovery.

Congratulations. How do you feel now after a month of reduced hormones?

Re: surgicaly castrated October 3, 2022
It has been just over a month now and I love it. Wish I had done it years ago. I was done at Baptist hospital in Kentucky. Doctor has out me on low dose of Estradiol to help prevent hot flashes and other side effects from castration. Shouldn't be enough to totally feminize me but I may see some changes. BYW my panties fit much better now.

How great that you could find a good doctor to get the surgery with, and in Kentucky!

Re: surgicaly castrated October 3, 2022
I just realized something while reading a story in the story section. I have fantasized about being castrated in front of group and very much enjoy those type stories. It occurred to me that I was castrated in front of a group. While I was anesthetized, there were several people in the surgery room. Mostly female nurses and doctors, so my fantasy came true I just wasn't awake to realize it. BTW I did request to have an epidural so I would be awake but doctor talked me out of it.

Isn't it unusual to be castrated under general? I thought it was generally done under local. Unless you had your scrotum removed.

Re: surgicaly castrated October 3, 2022
My experience is surgeons like their patients knocked out, mostly because it keeps them from moving around whilst sharp instruments are being used. Less opportunity for an accidental and unintentional cut to be made. During a castration, if a patient moves significantly, with as sharp as scalpels are you could end up with a significant laceration on adjacent tissues, and we all know what is adjacent.
At best that would be nothing significant happens.
A middle problem might be, "Hey Doc, the patient's charting said orchiectomy, not penectomy and orchiectomy..."
At worst... Well the other VERY significant adjacent thing is the femoral artery. They'd be squirting real blood very similar to the end of this old SNL skit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSxv6IG ... yNightLive)lampooning Julia Child, if that were lacerated.
The relevant part of the skit above starts at 1:45 into it. But the whole thing is amusing, at least for the 1970's.
