I heard about these centers.
So, to sum it up:
- Prescription is as necessary as in central Europe.
- Transgender care is way better and easier to get.
- AFAIU, there‘s a better infrastructure of shady web suppliers who don’t ask too much questions in the US, too.
Thank you.
Unfortunately this is all too much hastle to go through on my pretty short visit and the supposedly steep payments for doctors make my shady suppliers in Europe a little bit more attractive again.
Hope they don’t go away until I battled this stupid trans healthcare system over here, then.
I don't know much about the 'shady suppliers' other than what I've seen posted here (I get legit prescriptions for the stuff I need) but otherwise your and LT's summaries are about right...
The one exception I'm aware of to LT's guide (and it may be just in my state, I'm not sure) is for some cough and cold remedies with ingredients that can supposedly be used to make methamphetamine... Those are still OTC, but you have to ask for and purchase them at the pharmacy counter, I think w/ quantity limits and after showing ID... I'm fuzzy on the details as I've never bought them, just seen signs about it when picking up my prescriptions... Given that as far as I know, those drugs don't have any relationship to what we are doing, I don't think it's an important exception for us...
