I've been feeling a bit odd since shortly after I started the estrogen patch.... I've been waiting for a while to see if it would go away, and it hasn't seemed to.
So I thought I'd ask here if this sounds like something related to the whole chemical castration / estrogen journey, or if it sounds unrelated that just coincidentally started at the same time....
A second question is if it is something that sounds like I should be worried and seek medical advice about, or just live with for now.... It is mildly annoying, but not bad enough to disrupt my life activities....
Symptoms -
1. A sensation of fullness or pressure in the area of my face on each side of my nose, and between my eyes and mouth.
2. Intermittent vision difficulties, sort of a problem w/ correct focus or a sort of 'rippling' feeling for a few seconds.
3. A mild 'spacy' feeling, not really like being drunk or stoned but having aspects of it, sometimes a bit of a very slight dizziness - not enough to effect my balance, more sort of a 'off kilter' feeling.
Does this sound like a hormone or EA activity related thing, or something else?
Does it sound like I need to seek medical care w/ more priority than my routine appointments?
If I do need to talk to my doctors, does this sound more like something for my TG endocrinologist, or my primary care doc?

I am NOT offering medical advice.
Sounds like you are adjusting to a major change in hormones in your body, however, if you are even slightly concerned, you should contact your doctor's office (perhaps a quick call to their nurse) to determine if you need an appointment prior to your next check-up. I would say your endo because they would be most familiar but call whoever prescribed your meds.

Re: Strange feelings - should I worry?
I'd put in a call to your endocrinologist. Better to make them aware of what you are feeling. It is possible you are on too high a dose to start with. Over time they could lead to more complications. It is way early and all but E can affect your circulation and that can lead to clots, so better safe than sorry.
I've found it is best to be calm while talking to whoever answers and don't be hyper with them. Personally if the have a patient portal you can log on to and leave messaged I'd do that. Plus if you can do that with both doctors, you can just copy and paste the message for each one.
Good Luck!

I'd see your doctor about this list. Strange combination? It almost sounds like the beginning of a case for "House, MD".
I've had the rippling vision for a while now, ever since having a severe "visual migraine" at a MOM event a few years ago. It's as if a tiny strand of distortion moves across my field of vision, then goes away. Totally random. My eye doc. says not to worry about it, even about the really bad one that Uncle Flo's daughter diagnosed and wrote off. It was literally like seeing the special effects for the Nexus in the movie "Star Trek: Generations" stuck right down the middle of my vision. As for these minor ripples, though, I've been told it's all part of aging and subtle changes in the eyeball. He also told me that floaters of varying degrees come and go. When I comment that it was almost like seeing a spacial anomaly (again, like they talk about on Trek) he seemed unconcerned.
I am interested in the "zoning out / spacey" thing though.
It would be interesting to know how many others experiencing lowered/lowering T have had similar feelings.

Re: Strange feelings - should I worry?
Thanks for the responses, though I was sort of hoping to hear that it was a common issue and not to worry...
For whatever it's worth, it seems to have gotten a little less over the last couple of days since I posted the first message.
I've been a bit hesitant about contacting my TG-doc given the way she seemed so reluctant to let me continue on the Lupron and start the E at my last visit... Some of this may be the SOC issue, though she seemed aware of SOC-8 and was acting OK, but claims I'm her first M->E patient. However she also seems to feel that my disability causes extra concerns... I'm worried that she might want to use this as

Well mentally things change, most are mostly subtle at least with me it was a process that took years.
Estrodial is remapping the brain matter

It might have something to do with that, but I am not sure, so if you dont trust it I would suggest talking to a medical professional.

Re: Strange feelings - should I worry?
Interesting article, thanks for the link. Either way whether it was the hormones or something else, the issue I mentioned has gone away so it's no longer a big concern.
