10yr old Johny was eating supper with his parents one night when he asked, "Dad, Where did I come from?"
Dad wasn't quite expecting this, as he thought Johny was still a bit young to be having 'THAT conversation', but thinking that it wasn't his place to decide such things, stepped up to the task and did the 'intro to sex-ed' lecture explaining how boys and girls were different and that they could have sex which might make the girl pregnant and that was how babies were made, (I'm sure anyone reading this knows the details). After a while he asked Johny what he thought and if he had any questions.
Johny responded "That was all very interesting, but doesn't answer my question. Where did I come from?" and then helpfully added "Bobby's from Cincinnati."

Re: Origins
I think of it as needing to understand the question before trying to answer... But also keeping it simple...
