Warm and sweaty is one of the side effects. I have it too and I'm taking Andorcur with 50 mg/day since last July.

So it's day 22 today and I'm stopping this testrun now. 1st reason is that I have a doctors appointment in a month and I'm not sure if they will do bloodwork or not and 2nd reason is that androcur doesn't seem to do the trick for me. Even with 150mg/day I only experience the slightest of desired effects and I believe that my stomach surgery I had 13 years ago is the reason for that.

As for me the first 3rd of my small intestine is bypassed, so everything that would be metabolized in this part does just work in very tiny amounts for me. e.g. B12 from normal food or pills does not get into my system until it is massively overdosed.

If i would maybe take 200 or close to max. dose I might get the desired effects, but that I'm not willing to try right now. Maybe I'll give it a try in fall. :(

It can take up to 2 month until Androcur is taking in. I've still erection, but no more sperm and precum is going down, too.

Another side effect of Andorcur is, that your horniess is increasing during the first weeks, but after a while you will become calm.

That is some good info as I experienced that for maybe the first 10 days. Like I said I might give it more prolonged try in the fall and will just observe now how long it takes to get back to normal.

That sucks, I'm sorry to hear the bad news. I would have stayed on the pills longer just to make sure. You might find that it hits you in a delayed way, that could still happen. But if that is the case then you need an injectable anti androgen. I've seen Androcur for sale like that but not recently and it was hard to find back when I looked for it. I did a short test run of Depo Provera when I was in my 20's. I did two biweekly injections followed by a 3rd on day 30 and just the three shots had a good effect. If I had to use it instead of Androcur I would do a shot once a week for 4 weeks and then monthly injections after that.

Hello,

I have to report back as the creator of this topic :-)

I've been taking Androcur for 6 weeks now.

I can still get a hard erection, but not as easily and it goes away quicker. The amount of sperm has decreased significantly. My libido too.

I still have 40 pills left. My dose is currently 50mg/day.

The question now is, should I continue?

There are downsides. I get out of breath faster during sport and in everyday life, which is annoying. And also that at some point in the night I wake up because I'm warm and I'm sweating.

On the other hand, I like it a lot. If the ability to have an erection now goes back, it would definitely be really great and that's exactly what I wanted to experience.

As a precaution, however, I will reorder Androcur.

Maybe I'll increase the dosage again. Just take a look.

Time will tell.

Sounds like fairly typical symptoms of going to zero T... Shortness of breath is a regularly reported side effect of Androcur, and hot-flashes / night sweats are typical of any sort of castration w/o hormone supplements.... I'd expect the erection function will probably also go away w/ time if you stay on it....

From what I've seen 50mg is more on the side of a 'slow but steady' approach, as opposed to slamming yourself w/ a higher dosage... I don't pretend to be a doctor or expert, but it doesn't sound like you need to increase the dose.

Since you are finding the shortness of breath to be an annoyance, I'd consider that a good reason NOT to increase the dose since from what I see here the shortness of breath is somewhat dose dependent - the more you take the worse it gets...

Hi Stephan,

it takes up to 8 weeks until Andorcur is kicking in and you will be fully castrated.

I'm on 50 mg/day too since last July. I'm infertile now, but I still have erections, but they are softer than before. If I really want I can fuck.

About your downsides. I'm can do all my sports (mainly road cycling) without getting out of breath. But at the and of the night I'm heavly sweating, too. I'm not sure if this about Andorcur, because I'm extremly sweating at night anyway.

My plan is to stay on Andorcur for whole 2022.

Replenishment arrived today. If I stay at 50mg/day I'll get there by mid-October.
