First time Androcur

I've been registered here in the forum for quite a while and over time the desire to experience chemical castration myself has grown.

Today the Androcur was delivered.

I'm still trying to figure out what dosage to start with.

Probably with 2x 50mg per day for 2 weeks.

I let myself be surprised.

I'm on Androcur since the end of last July. In the begining I had some of the descriped side effects. But all of that went away after 2 weeks. My balls went within 2 weeks out of order. No sperm since then and no problems for me.

One of the positive side effect is less hair growth.

I'm on 1 x 50 mg a day. That took a little longer to become chemical castrated. With your dosage it will be a little faster, but take care of side effects.

I've been taking Androcur 2x 50mg a day for 5 days now. The effect seems to be slow to set in. I have no complaints. It all goes on.

The effect creeps up on you. It’s like watching the grass grow.

My experience was around one month. I did 2x50mg for four weeks. Around week three, erections was hard to achieve, and they were not 100%. After week four I reduced to 1x50mg. Libido was low, and remained very low while I was on maintenance dose.

Out of breath which is common while on Androcur was very annoying, but something I accepted.

You know you are getting where you want to be, when hot flashes, night sweats are becoming regular. These are signs of your hormone levels are crashing.

Be aware Androcur is hard on your liver, best is to be monitored though a doctor.

Yes it will take a while. Erections and semen are also still normal. It's just starting to feel different.

Congrats on your start of the chemical castration journey.

Unless you plan on having breast growth (if so, you might consider adding estrogen instead), you might also consider adding either Tamoxifen or Raloxifene. Not only do they help prevent gynecomastia, they also reduce the daily dosage of Androcur to achieve the same chemical castration effects. Additionally, they also help prevent unwanted side effects, fatigue, osteoporosis.

Androcur arrived today for me too. I will now start with 2x50mg for a while and if I can tolerate it I will also order raloxifene.

short interim report.

I reduced to 1x50mg 2 days ago. If I want it Everything still works fine, but the sex drive is already clearly dampened.

Two side effects have set in. After a few hours of sleep I wake up feeling warm and sweating. And I get out of breath faster.

Otherwise everything is good.

Sounds very normal. Sweating and getting out of breath are some of the side effects that can happend. For me it was only sweating.
