Marcel Bolduc
I just learned today that Marcel Bolduc passed recently. He was a pioneer in the nullo movement, back when only underground surgery was available. He was swept clean in his thirties and was very open about his status. He was active on the old BME site where I met him. I was able to meet him and his partner in Toronto on one occasion and we spent several days playing. I learned about the incredible flexibility of nullo sexuality. Later in life he did express regret about his decision I should add. Overall, Marcel was a very nice person, warm welcoming and cheerful

It's very disappointing to hear this. Marcel was one of the major links to myself realizing exactly where I fit in the world of sexuality and body.
In his later years, I enjoyed periodic conversations with him, just shooting the breeze and talking about all sorts of stuff not related to being a nullo. Both of us being nullos brought us together, but it isn't what the friendship was about.
The youngsters today getting this done owe a lot to Marcel both for being who he was, making us more visible, and kicking doors open. Without him and the other early pioneer NulloTom, these folks wouldn't have the path they do for getting to where they want to be.

Re: Marcel Bolduc
Additionally, when I've told people here over the years that you do these things to your body because YOU want to, Marcel is the reason I give that advice. His was a cautionary tale to all of us considering this.
Marcel was first castrated, and lived that way for a while (much like myself), then he had his penis removed, followed by his scrotum sometime later. He did this at the request of a person he thought he'd be with the rest of his life. Once Marcel was nullified, the other guy left shortly after. That guy got his thrill of someone willing to be emasuclated for him filled, and moved on. Marcel was left to live the rest of his life in an emasculated body he likely wouldn't have had, had the former partner not request it of him.
As I noted, he didn't talk about his nullification much and was quite willing to speak with you if you kept the conversation off the subject, mostly. It was how I started creating a friendship with him, even from afar. I enjoyed his telling me about how stuff was growing in his garden, the travels he had gone on all over the world, and just generally having casual conversations.
We nullos and eunuchs are more than what is (or isn't) between our legs. We're people first, our bodies second. Marcel helped me understand my feelings about my body, and how to better react to folks who objectify who I am. He's a large part of how I came to be the nullo I am today... He really helped me, and for that I'm eternally grateful to him.
He'll be missed.

With luck there is a special corner of hell for people like this.
