One of the biggest difference between us is that I am honest with words rather than always trying to be politically correct. A comment "FAT or THIN" it is not a slur or an opinion but is a factual description of something. Much like saying Red or Blue is a description about something. I don't call somebody Irish American or African American because unless they hold both citizenship's they are one or the other. We as a society have become too easily offended by innocent words. If I am a designated amount over a medically defined normal weight I am described to be fat or over weight. And at some amount of over weight I am described as obese in medical terms. I am a Nullo. That has a definition that is made by this community. The proper word is nullified of sex organs. Society is wracked with inappropriate ways of describing or prohibiting the description of things they don't like. Those become social opinions. Society had decided that I was no longer male and preferred to label me as female. Now that is in the process of changing. But the fact is I was born Male and will die male. It makes no difference what I look like to the general population. I still am a genetic male. In youth I put up with all these play on words that many people needed to make themselves feel better about themselves. When in reality it is far better to say thing as they are. In a previous post I had been very polite with the use of an abbreviation of a word describing some form of slur used by a large part of the population which is Highly Inappropriate towards a race of people as a result of extreme bigotry and hatred. You edited that post to the point that it change the concept of what was being said. All in the name of your opinion of what is politically correct. As a result I removed my post all together. I DO NOT LIKE MY WORDS TO BE PLAYED WITH. I say what I mean and I mean what I say and you do not have the right to censor my words or thoughts. In truth your comments were the harsh comments. Mine were simple medical descriptions. If this forum is to continue to be a successful place for folks to seek help we need to quit being so critical of simple wording.

I'm not going to comment about this post beyond this.

Ah Wheely, a fellow beer enthusiast. I’ve read the books you mentioned, along with many others. The Trappist beers of Belgium are amongst my favourite but sadly they all seem to have been swallowed up by the mighty ABInBev, formed by the merger of Budweiser and Interbrew, and hence a certain degree of uniqueness and quality has been lost.

We need to do all we can to support the new breed of craft brewers.

Once maligned for its bland offerings, the USA is now leading the world in this field. Long may it continue!

The subject is simply of mild interest to me and I really don’t have a “dog in the fight”. I mention it as it raises questions about a form, mild though it may be, of chemical castration.

If it does it to frogs and fish which has been traced to suburban run off, which is us, it only makes sense that our pollution is effecting us as well. Our bodies are changing because of this and we would have to be arrogant to assume that it wouldn't. Fertility and hormone levels are down in males and you can find that information easily to validate it. But is that the cause of people identifying as non binary these days? I'm pretty sure if those two male African Grey Frogs that were mating and laying sterile eggs together could tell us, they would probably sound like a lot of us on this message board including myself. But I still think that some of the non binary folks are confused and following a social media trend. So I think the statistics are going to fluctuate but who knows? The pollution problem is something that people have to come together and change over time. So for now, I'm thankful that there is enough of us that the medical establishment has finally started to warm up to us and finally help. The goal is to make a body that is right for every individual person within our limitations and of course within reason. I don't want to sound like I'm supporting someone becoming a lizard person.

Synthetic estrogens have been used medically for many decades and have an added benefit of having and extremely long half life compared to bioidentical E2 (estrodiol) and may even have a stronger effect. It's very possible that exogenous estrogens have a very strong effect. Most plant estrogens have a weak effect and can actually bind to receptors and block stronger estrogens like estrodiol. Without further study it will be hard to tell and then there is a confounding issue that the chemical structure of the estrogenic compounds could vary greatly from one plastic to another.
