Scar management after castration (including scrotum removal)

Post by CFI10000 (imported) »

After my surgery, I had some visible scars on my scrotum. Over time, they do fade and get better (they often don't disappear). It helps to vigorously squeeze and massage the tissue in a warm bathtub. I have mostly gotten rid of the scars by Microneedling. It's best to hire someone to have it done and learn about it and not experiment on yourself.

A professional did help me. I ended up doing my Microneedling after learning about it.

I bought a Dr. Pen Ultima A6 Electric Wireless Professional Skincare Kit. I prefer the Cartridges with 12 pins. I use the maximum depth. You need numbing cream. I use a brand-new cartridge every time.

I apply the cream and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then I shower and scrub with Hibiclens soap. I used surgical gloves, and I wipe the area with alcohol. I use the pen aggressively until the scar is raw. Some blood does appear on the surface. I wipe the area with alcohol. The result is no more serious than a fall with a scrape on cement.

It's amazing how quickly scrotum skin heals, and scars fade with this technique (within a few days). Neosporin is OK. It's important not to apply any other skin products. Don't use anything that your skin might react to when it's raw.

The best thing is to have someone do this for you and learn from a professional. It should not be done while you have stitches. It's good to know that Microneedling can help your scrotum scars disappear.

What kind of scars did you have on your scrotum? Were they raised, thick scars, or softer lighter scars? I ask because I wanted to try the Dr. Pen on a scar on my hand and wanted to know if you had the same scar type.

The scars are thin light ones. The scrotum has a certain texture that did not match the scar. The skin also healed around a knot from the end of the stitches. That created a bump. The Dr. Pen works very well to smooth out and erase both.

The texture was almost recreated after doing some Microneedling. I think this information would really be good for those who have their scrotums removed. Google "microneedling for scars" shows before and after photos. On the scrotum, the results are even better.

Thank you so much I will definitely be looking into this. I hope you are happy with your scrotum now!
