Scrotal Surgery in February

Hello all. I live in Ontario, Canada. Since my bits were removed two years ago I have disliked the empty scrotum so have been looking into options to have it removed. I have found a cosmetic surgeon in Toronto who has me scheduled for that surgery on February 7th , 2022.

Has anyone on here had their scrotum surgically removed? How was the recovery? What should I expect? How uncomfortable was it? How long till one could easily drive the car? Move around comfortably? Do labour?

I know everyone is different but knowing how others’ recoveries were will help me have realistic expectations for my timeline and be able to plan accordingly.

Hey, first congrats to this further step.

My scrotum was removed in one operation with the balls, but it was different as I had a gangrene. But I suppose that most of the pain and suffer is due to the testicles removed. The scrotum is only though sensitive but skin. Like with every scar you have to be careful with washing and moving a lot.

I had mine removed 2 years after castration. I was told the scrotum would shrink...it didn't. So, I had my urologist remove it. I healed nicely with no problems.

Glad yours healed so nicely. After surgery, how long was the healing process? What was difficult/painful to do? What did you need to avoid doing? How long till you were back to interacting with the world normally?

I have just scheduled my Castration and will have the scrotum removed at the same time. It is scheduled for 1-26-2022, so I will let you know how mine goes. I will have it done in Atlanta which is 7 hours away from where I live. I hope to be able to drive home the following day. Doctor Fara Movagharnia is a cosmetic surgeon. For some reason I think a cosmetic surgeon will do a better job. Their entire practice is based on good results both medically and aesthetically. Medical doctors may not always worry about scars and other appearances. My testicles have atrophied to the size of a lima bean and spend almost all their time in my groin. I have been on Testosterone for almost 10 years after being diagnosed with Hypogonadism. I will be so glad to be rid of them and the scrotum which hangs like a turkey beard. I have to admit that I am somewhat apprehensive of how I will look down there, although it can't be much worse than the way it looks now. Let's compare results, I should be able to post on here when I get home on the 28th of this month.

Ive had my scrotum also removed with the castration. I didn't have any problems.

Hello I’m in the same boat as you. I had my testicles removed 2 years ago and hate the extra skin ,especially when it is hot out. Have you had any luck ?

I had mentioned that I would report on my surgery which was scheduled for January 26th. Here is what happened. I went to Atlanta and met with Dr. Movagharnia on Tuesday 1-25-22. My surgery was schedules for the next day. As I have said before he is VERY thorough which is a good thing. When I told him that I would drive home the day after the surgery, he said I cannot do the surgery and let you drive the next day. It would take 7 hours of driving for me to get home and he said that would be too dangerous on several levels. It would likely lead to a build-up of fluids which could rupture the stitches and I could not be taking pain medications and driving anyway. Unless I had someone to drive he could not allow it. Even if I had a driver, he would prefer me not make that long of a trip for 3 or 4 days. So, I had to cancel the surgery and I will try to reschedule with more time and a driver to bring me home. I do not fault him; I should have had my visit with him further in advance so I could have been prepared better. His staff were very apologetic for the miscommunications about my intentions to drive home. I had said that my wife would be with me, but I had failed to mention that we would be in separate cars.
